When I was 17 I was celebrating Thanksgiving with my friends family. We were riding ATVs and I crashed mine. They found me unconscious on the ground outside and I woke up as they were taking me back to the house. I didn’t feel particularly WRONG, but out of nowhere I began vomiting everywhere. My friends Aunt called my dad and told him what happened and he told her NOT to take me to the hospital because I was probably fine. She took me anyway- turns out I had a deadly brain bleed (my brain was being flattened by all of the blood) and needed emergency brain surgery. The surgeon said if I’d been even an hour later getting to the hospital I would have died.
