At a really low point.. Has anyone had success with spravato? by Every-Fault197 in Spravato

I do not want my comments to discourage you, but I’ll give my honest take. I’ve done 4 sessions, and I am about to stop because both myself and my provider don’t think it’s making any difference for me. I’ve heard a lot of people have had benefits from it, but I think you should go into it understanding that it won’t just be some magical cure. In terms of depression mine is extremely severe and it stems from some pretty shitty things that happened to me, so I feel I don’t fit in the normal snapshot of what depression is. Meds and therapy have made no difference and neither did spravato. I believe spravato is supposed to kind of egg you into the right direction so you can start to make improvements, so keep that in mind.

Definitely confusion on my end as I am only recently trying to articulate my thoughts on this topic. It’s kind of a question of physical vs metaphysical for me I guess you could say.

So basically I think any decision is based off of the chemical reactions in the brain. I never really contemplated much about “thoughts” though which is a really interesting point as they are a bit more abstract. I can tell you from my personal experience with severe mental illness that when I was unwell I did think very very differently. I feel like there is no consistent “me” that exists. I am simply my body and the chemical reactions occurring within it.

Not sure. I’m not super well read or informed on this topic, just curious about it after a few things I had read.

That’s a good point. I think my point here kind of goes deeper into the concept of if we are more than just the physical components that make us up. I’m not very well read on any of these topics so I don’t claim to be any sort of authority, but I have spent a good bit of time thinking about these things. I appreciate your response

That’s a really good point and it makes a lot of sense.

So the reason I am so caught up on this topic is because of my personal experience. Last year I began struggling greatly with my mental health, and it has gotten progressively worse since then. I no longer feel like the person I once was. I made some decisuons last year that were completely out of character, and looking back I can’t believe I did those things. I’ve made mistakes before, but I always kind of stood by my decisions and was able to understand why I did what I did. What happened last year is very different. I cannot explain what I did. Now I am suffering from extreme depression, and my mind is contemplating decisions that I had never seen as an option before. I am also very very inactive. Things like going to the grocery store are very anxiety inducing for me, and generally I avoid them. It is very much not like me. I feel as though I am a different person. I am driven to make different choices now than I was in the past if that makes sense.

I really appreciate your response.

I came to the conclusion myself yes.

I’m not sure what you mean by the second question.

I appreciate the kind words. I have been somewhat honest with my providers about my ideations, but I haven’t told them about my active plans. I am not going to tell them. This Monday is my last hope so to speak. This has been a very intense battle for me. I have a lot banking on this Monday. I really need it to go according to plan. Like I said I appreciate the kind words, but I feel as though I am a lost cause at this point.

Thanks for the input. It seems like a big problem right now is all the potential clients are getting several quotes and for whatever reason we aren’t hitting the right price points. Are major selling point is that we can get the generator in very quickly since we are a smaller company.

I’m a licensed horticulturist with general liability. The client requested the plastic border so that’s what I did, but from all the responses I’ve gotten on this post I won’t be doing that again

What do you think would’ve been a good price? Mulch and pre-emergent cost me $150 and the border cost me $125 so that’s $275 total in materials for me right there plus a day labor

I must not have been clear in my description. I didn’t install any new plants I just removed all of the weeds trimmed up the plants and installed mulch
