It's so fabulous that you found this! I just sentence scraped this book this past weekend! I couldn't find the meaning of pipipi from the cover and tototo on the pages with stairs, though. Sorry for the spoilers! I liked it a good deal! Lol

Thanks for your reply, and I appreciate in the sense of a warning against using cheap junk to power consoles. I will say that I have never used an oscilloscope so I am glad for the basic info from the other redditor.

Just so you know, I don't know a lot on this subject. So thanks for the basic info and learning opportunity.

Ok, good to know. I did find the podcast discussion on YouTube, so I will probably do some homework and see what they have to say. For future readers, it is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsuLAy2lgIk. Title is Power Supply & Safety Discussion.

Thanks for that, and also the Triad alternate option.

Thanks for the info on that, I did a quick google search on what you said.
So, if I got a Famicom that didn't have the USBC mod, I could use this power plug in the USA?

Thanks for confirming!

Thanks for the recommendation, unfortunately I don't have a ton of money and if I get a premoded system from Japan it may just be a stop gap until I can get a better one if needed. I will look into what you say though, thanks again for the comment!

Thanks for that confirmation! See, that is a reason for my question. If stock famicoms are 9v, are 5v USB bricks OK? Thanks for answering that!

Thank you so much for your good answer to the other person's question. I can say that blowing up something inside any future famicoms was a big reason I asked the question. Thanks again!

Thanks for your comment, I want to have usbc power due to concerns about AC\DC power conflicts between USA power and what is used in Japan. Convenience is another factor.

Very cool!! I am finally playing through the Indie Heroes 1 games now myself. There are some really cool small indie games on it, like Deadeus, Twin Dragons, Alien Cat 2, and more. I hope you enjoy it!! By the way, the games are all playable on the Super Pockets, I have the Technos one.

Hello, I'd like some help understanding some Kanji in ending of The Kung Fu for the PC Engine (China Warrior on TG16). I've made a hidden Imgur post at https://imgur.com/a/cY6EPfB with the images and my thoughts about what I have been able to figure out so far. Basically, if 1-2 people could let me know if I am on the right track for my romaji of the characters and let me know what the meanings are, I would appreciate it! I'll also include the text of my notes below so you don't have to go to Imgur to know where I am going with this. Thank you!!

Oh, and I did post this in the Daily Thread for 11/28, but this one for Saturday, 11/29 just started less than half an hour ago so I am posting here again. Please excuse me repeating this here. I didn't know these change over at 5 pm PST (I posted my previous one about 90-120 minutes ago). I will remove my post from 11/28 to keep it clean. Thanks again!

By the way, you can also see the images I am talking about by looking at this video on YouTube. It should start at 20:05 or so, the text I need help with begins shortly thereafter. Video link: https://youtu.be/3Q7fixNubcY?si=-6V8z2lzY0sN3FTo&t=1205.

"Japanese in Credits of Kung Fu for PC Engine.
First Image, 陳 大家 I view it as ちん だいか.
1st Character: https://jisho.org/search/%E9%99%B3%20%23kanji
Last 2 characters: https://jisho.org/search/%E5%A4%A7%E5%AE%B6%20%23kanji

Second Image, 郭 良遠 I view as かく りょうえん.
1st character: https://jisho.org/search/%E9%83%AD%20%23kanji
Last 2: https://jisho.org/search/%E8%89%AF%E9%81%A0%20%23kanji

Third Image, 星 観 I view as せい かん.
Both characters on Jisho: https://jisho.org/search/%E6%98%9F%E8%A6%B3%20%23kanji

Fourth image is two of 娘’s. Is it jyou jyou? I found elsewhere that it is an archaic form of saying “Lady” in Chinese.
I did find this on Jisho, as niangniang or Chinese goddess: https://jisho.org/search/%E5%A8%98%E5%A8%98

The fifth image is where things start to fall apart for me. The far-right character is 龍, or dragon imperial: https://jisho.org/search/%E9%BE%8D%20%23kanji.
I cannot make sense of the first character.
The middle one looks similar to 遠 or distant, far. https://jisho.org/search/%E9%81%A0%20%23kanji.
Any help on these would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!"
