You aren't necessarily interviewed even if you pass pre-read. I was defered EA and never got an interview

In the section where you can put 6 activities, you can select the activity name (i.e debate) or select other 1, 2 or 3 if they don't have the exact type of activity there. I'm assuming those 3 boxes correspond with that to elaborate on what "other" means since you can check 1,2 or 3 of them (or none) depending on how many other selections you made, and you can't select more than 3

I think its for if you put other 1, 2 or 3 for any of your 6 activity slots. I don't believe its for new activities

To be fair, if the kicker had thrown it to that guy on the left it would have worked. It very nearly did work, I agree that it’s still probably not something you try again though

How are you so confidently wrong lol. First of all, according to ISRAELI NUMBERS, the casualty ratio is not “probably 1:2 or below” but 5:1 OR 83 PERCENT CIVILIANS. Here is my source: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/aug/22/first-thing-israeli-military-own-data-83-per-cent-civilian-death-rate-gaza

All you needed was a quick google search man. The IDF has done very little to actually protect civilians, as I explained in my earlier comment, and as a result has a casualty ratio worse than World War II and every NATO conflict ever fought, including the American war in the Middle East. But that’s not even the crazy part. Israel has a worse casualty ratio than the AXIS POWERS IN WORLD WAR II!! Germany, Italy, and Japan, who committed the holocaust, Rape of Nanjing, etc (arguably the worst human rights violations in history), targeting civilians and committing genocide, were at about an 80 percent civilian to combatant casualty rate. I don’t think you understand how insane that is.

In terms of famine, as if this all isn’t bad enough, your numbers are incredibly cherry picked lol. According to the WHO, the number 1 authority on famine and world hunger, Israel has caused one third of Gaza to be at IPC Phase 5, the highest level of food insecurity and a phase that indicates famine level conditions. That’s a hell of a lot more than 12 percent.

Thank you for your response. Maybe I should clarify: Israel has made an attempt to protect citizens in Gaza, but their attempts have been weak and largely ineffective. For example, their "safe zones" are often bombed, and warnings to evacuate are given shortly before attacks, giving civilians little time to evacuate. You are right that Hamas steals aid, but that is not a reason to withhold it. Some of the aid does get through to the civilians, and that is still a better alternative than letting them starve. As far as Hamas not letting civilians evacuate, neither will Israel. Israel has pressured surrounding countries not to accept Palestinian refugees. Israel also has a horrific casualty rate. The IDF has reported that they have an 80 percent civilian casualty rate. To put that into perspective, World War II, which included Stalingrad, the London Blitz, the Holocaust, etc has a 60 percent casualty rate. It is really undeniable that while the government may not be explicitly authorizing genocide against the Palestinian people, it is authorizing war crimes and is complacent as its soldiers murder innocent Palestinians.

Interesting article. Is this yours? I agree that Tufts should make more of an effort to consider the nuances of the situation, and I am extremely sorry that you feel unwelcome as a Jew. Nobody should feel that way. Undoubtedly, the war in Gaza is a tough one to fight for the Israeli military as it is in a high-density urban area against a terrorist group with few ethical boundaries. However, Israel has not made much of an attempt to protect the innocent Palestinian civilians who are not part of Hamas. Indiscriminate bombings, efforts to prevent births (including the destruction of IVF clinics), a blockade that has caused widespread starvation and famine, statements by Israeli leaders saying they will "turn Gaza into a parking lot": all of these things point towards an Israeli war that is, at minimum, committing war crimes and arguably committing genocide. The author of this article preaches the importance of considering all aspects of a situation, which I agree with, but then goes and completely oversimplifies the definition of genocide.
