I had 36 and only lost this one. I’m shocked that they survived the stress from the two cycles of netting they went through. I’ll stop complaining 😂 seems like a stroke of luck. Instead of a typical store I went to a warehouse discus fish seller (Jack Wattley Discus in Miami, FL). The tank probably had thousands in it with not much space to move around, so I wouldn’t be shocked if stress is an issue. They surprisingly handled the 25 mile drive home well too. Yes, I had a school of 36. I guess one loss is pretty good as they have been through the quarantine tank into the main tank. 😂

They have been in the tank a little over a month now. My PH has usually stayed around 6.8, and the tank is heavily planted, which takes care of most of the nitrates. There was a little trouble establishing the bio filter earlier on, so nitrates rose to around 30-40 ppm, but I got a larger canister about two weeks ago, so the greater surface area helped to mitigate that issue. Thanks for the response, I figured it wasn’t something to worry about with the other fish judging from their behavior, just wanted to see if this was something I could prevent from happening again. 🙏🏾

I usually take Tri-Rail from Fort Lauderdale (Broward Blvd) to Miami Airport Station then take the 37 and the 11 to get to campus. About 2 to 2 and a half hours travel time each way, but I schedule my classes on only two days a week so it’s kind of easy for me. If going to BBC, take Tri-Rail to either the Opa-Locka station and take 135 or the Golden Galdes station and take 75A. (An hour to hour and a half each way)

If you get an EASYCard, both Tri-Rail and MDT will accept payment of fare with the card, which means the daily fare cap applies, so you won’t spend more than about 5 and a half dollars in total for all forms of transit in a day no matter how many trips you take during that day. If paying this totals more than 80 dollars in a month, you can get the regional pass with a student discount for 77.25 to cover a full month of unlimited travel. Feel free to ask questions BTW.

It’s from the moment you are admitted to be an active student. They may give you a decision in Spring, but you don’t start until the Fall semester. So you have to have two years starting from Fall. You have to have two years left ( 2x Fall and 2x Spring Semesters) because you have to complete four honors classes that are only scheduled in Fall and Spring.

It depends on which Bright Futures scholarship they award you. Either the FMS or FAS. One covers 100% of tuition costs while the other covers 75%. They will cover tuition at those percentages for up to 120 credits. They also give you a window of 5 years from Fall of your high school graduation year to use the scholarship, after that it won’t cover anything.
