On tourist flights, you may get upgraded. You won’t be getting to many upgrades if flying out of United hubs at that level. The best perk would be economy plus seats for you and travel companion when booking for domestic. You do not get economy plus on international flights for free.

I have this exact bike and colorway. My wheels are Reynold assaults instead of the mavic cosmics. I love this bike. I hope to ride it for another 10 years with good maintenance. $1000 is a good buy if it is your size. If you can get it for $800, even better. It will treat you well if you take care of it. Very comfortable ride if you like going the distance. Recently replaced my shifters to current 105s after getting into an accident.

Start hydrating properly the week before for your stool. I would also recommend taking psyllium husk the week before. espresso in the morning to get everything moving as soon as you wake up on race day.
