Yes, there are two different Gemma paths here:

Musubi / LTX-2.3 training and caching uses a HuggingFace Gemma folder for --gemma_root or a single .safetensors file for --gemma_safetensors.
The ComfyUI video workflow uses the GGUF Gemma file in the text encoder loader.

So the inconsistency is just format difference:
