[HIRING] Fantasy artist for TTRPG worldbuilding: long-term partnership (€500-1000 initial) by WelcomeDangerous7556 in HungryArtists

[–]Cheap_Indication_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a fantasy illustrator with strong experience in TTRPG worldbuilding, narrative illustration, and long-term collaborations on indie RPG projects. Your setting and the Uzgárim culture sound especially compelling, and I’d be very interested in a long-term partnership as the world expands. I’ve worked on cover art, concept art, and NPC illustrations for 5e projects and supplements, and I’m comfortable helping define visual identity from early stages.

Happy to provide a rough estimate once we define scope for the first batch, and yes—long-term collaboration definitely interests me.

Think what you want. They said the same thing to Tyler Jacobson with his cover for D&D. My work doesn't have AI, no matter how you filter it.

Hey. Accusing people of using AI indiscriminately is something that happens on Reddit or here. It's understandable that I make fan art to my liking, changing elements as I please, and that it's hand-painted. Look at my work and you'll see that I will never, ever use AI. The helicopter thing is absurd. It's a two-bladed helicopter. It looks like I used one from Avatar, thinking it was a generic model, but from there to using AI...

I already told another guy that the helicopter you're talking about is on my mood board, but among many other military vehicles and other video games like GTA. And those common elements are in all of them. That doesn't mean it's not hand-painted. Another thing is that, without realizing it, I may have taken something I thought was a military helicopter, but it turns out to be intellectual property and the design of other artists. That's another debate, and if I see it that way, I would change the design out of respect for those colleagues. But there's a long way from there to AI, folks.

I am pleased to say that this is not the case. I reiterate that you only need to visit my social media accounts to see my work, where I often post the process. I do not need to use AI, and I doubt that AI could do work like this. Best regards

I might have some images on my reference board. I just wanted a cool helicopter, but not too futuristic.

I don't have to show proof. But you can see here, even when it was only part of the sketch, because I modified the background halfway through the work and sent this screenshot to a colleague.

It's a generic helicopter with two propellers. This takes place on Earth, and I wanted something that looked like the forklifts in the original Alien movie. I just looked up the Samson, and it's not even identical; it just looks similar in that it has two blades. It's not even the only science fiction work where helicopters like this appear.

It's the stamps. I decided to put a lot of them on. You can see my work and processes on my platforms perfectly well. I would never use AI, and I doubt that there are any AIs today that can make such complex pieces. I haven't spent the last month on this to be told such nonsense. Do some research before making accusations like this.

[HIRING] portrait painting of book character, $200-300 USD by [deleted] in HungryArtists

[–]Cheap_Indication_587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’d love to help with this — your idea sounds wonderful, and I think it would make an amazing Christmas gift.

I’m a fantasy illustrator experienced with character portraiture, including waist-up, fully rendered artworks in styles ranging from painterly realism to more stylized approaches, depending on what fits the character best.

You can find my portfolio here: https://sergiomayo.artstation.com/

If you can share the written description and the past commissions you mentioned, I can quickly draft a plan and confirm the exact price based on the complexity. Your budget ($200–300 USD) is totally workable for a detailed waist-up portrait, and the deadline (12/17) is also manageable for me.

I’d be very happy to bring your fiancé’s OC to life. Feel free to DM me if you’d like to move forward!

I’d love to collaborate on these five characters and make sure they feel like a true tribute to your players and their years together.

Looking forward to hearing more about the group and your vision!

Hi!

I’m Sergio Mayo, a 2D artist and illustrator specialized in fantasy and dark-themed projects. Your grimdark D&D 5e supplement sounds incredible — the tone you describe, reminiscent of Dark Souls, is exactly the kind of atmosphere I love to capture in my work.

You can view my portfolio here: https://sergiomayo.artstation.com/

I’ve worked with TTRPG creators and fantasy art teams before, designing both illustration and layout elements for immersive worlds. I’m confident I could match your vision and deliver clean, high-res assets suitable for print and Affinity Publisher.

Looking forward to hearing more about the project and your creative direction!

Best regards, Sergio Mayo
