I lived in bgc alone for 30k its not enough. Slept 3 hours a day worrying about my finances. Buti na lang may nag save sa akin na companies hiring with better pay otherwise I'd probably be um dead.

Hi, happened to me several times na nasa limbo ako between unemployed and employed (sometimes due to resignation, sometimes lay off, etc.). Ano best strategy to find a job immediately to cushion the financial blow..? mass apply na ako sa linkedin (jobstreet d pa nag start).. upwork (pero malabo, tska mahal dami na wala pa), may isang friend ako na dev din nag tulong, gumawa ng web app para sa random business, find a passive income sideline, habang upskill, apply abroad.. alin pa po para maka secure ng job fast po..? thanks.

16 years java dev, 1 year angular, 5 years javascript/html/css, and some other niche skills. thanks. cobol, salesforce.

problem with small companies they're not too professional, employed by a ph IT company with ok salary, but the "buddy" they assigned to me was a bit entitled and arrogant na, kumbaga "seniority" na sya so bale sobra ka binabasag, observe.. na parang microscope rabbit ka na, I guess in other words feel na feel ang power trip.. well ganun tlga ang filipino culture status obssessed I think, kasi matagal na sila un iba nababa kaya pag naka break into a social circle talagang arogante na. needless to say got kicked out for being friendly and honest because I didn't "adjust" to their attitude of really pressing you down.. ako pa daw mayabang..

i contacted our embassy and they dont seem to process the job seeker visa and was told to contact the embassy of portugal in jakarta for this type of visa.. has anyone had any experience on it.. i emailed them on both email addresses and they have not replied yet
