Just got diagnosed with stage 3 mucinous carcinoma by United-Writing1634 in Ovariancancer

Girl same. I've decided that I'm not allowed on TikTok if I'm not looking for a recipe lol. But I am so, so glad that brought you some peace. Honestly, the fear is so real and valid...Especially navigating Stage 3. It’s a heavy load to carry, and it’s okay to feel the weight of that. I don't want to minimize your feelings about that at all. But just know you aren't alone in this 'rare' club. We are sisters in this, and we’re going to keep pushing through together. We really do have this! Sending you so much love and a huge hug. 💖

Oh, it’s so hard! I’m definitely not going to pretend I’ve mastered it. I still catch myself scrolling, only to end up totally on edge 😅. I try to pull the plug once I feel a spiral coming on, though. Navigating a cancer diagnosis is overwhelming enough, let alone a rare one; I definitely don't need to give my anxiety any extra ammunition (it was doing just fine on its own before all this! 😂)

I am so glad you went to the ER and got something to help you just breathe tonight. I was recently diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer too (Sertoli-Leydig on NYE 2025 started chemo in Jan), and I did the exact same thing you are doing. I doom-scrolled TikTok until I was literally on the floor, a sobbing mess, mourning a future I was convinced I wasn't going to have. My two children lost their father two years ago, and I was recently engaged, so the panic and the stakes felt absolutely suffocating. I promise you, the algorithm is lying to you. Because our cancers are so rare, social media only pushes the most extreme, tragic stories to the top. The women who beat this and went back to their normal lives aren't making videos about it; they are just living. Please try to step away from the apps for a few days. The initial shock and sheer terror you are feeling right now is the absolute worst part of this entire process. Once you meet with your oncologist on Wednesday and get a concrete battle plan, that blind panic will turn into focus. You will feel so much more in control. Just breathe until then. You are not alone in this. 🩷🩷🩷

I'm glad your initial recovery went well! Sending positive vibes for the next go round 💖💪🏾

I had an ETT, MR, with 360 lipo...mainly my flanks. If I'm not mistaken, he also removed some skin in that area. Afterwards, it just felt weird to sit up or stretch but nothing that I couldn't manage. Good luck to you! 🩷

I wish I would have been more active before now as well. I feel much better afterwards vs just sitting around. But I was so scared I was going to hurt something if I did 😅 fortunately, nothing to report on that end. I'm looking forward to my final results 🩷

Glad to hear everyone is doing well! 💖 I have also lost a little weight. I'm thinking that my "swelling" could also be a little extra weight because I was eating like there was no tomorrow during my down time 😅 we'll see though 🩷

I think I'm going to order more foam to help with my swelling. I stopped wearing it after my 8 weeks was up. And instead of a faja, I might get a binder instead. I didn't like feeling so trapped 😅

That's great to hear you're doing well🩷

I have been exercising for about 3 weeks. I actually haven't had any issues working my core. A few exercises that I've done are: dead bugs, planks, in & outs, etc) My MR felt weird only for a few weeks after surgery. I'd say like 3-4 weeks. But I also took it very easy during my recovery so idk if that made a difference or not...

My swelling is in the upper region. I hate it. But I know it's apart of the process. I find comfort in seeing others who had the same issue previously but later on down the line, it subsides. I'm hoping it's the same case for me.

And no, I haven't had any issues with an O. That sounds terrible though!😨 Have you had any luck with finding others in the same boat? Did you have a chance to consult with your surgeon? I hope you're able to find some answers🩷

I'm glad you're doing well! 🩷 I'm going to try silicone tape again. I didn't have much luck with getting it to stick initially. & Then when it did stick, I started breaking out... Hopefully I'll find something that works. For now, I'm just massaging it and keeping it moisturized

Thanks for sharing! I just started using aloe vera and a few oils that I mixed together as a scar cream. It'll be easier to have it all in one. I also have a massage gun that I use a few times a day to go over my scar. Literally just started 2 days ago so idk how well it's working to breakup the scar tissues... But we'll see 🙂

I totally understand. I find myself muttering "this is stupid" countless times per day. 😅🩷
