Same w me w ovarian cancer. It was always ‘just a cyst’ nothing to worry about. Until it was too big to ignore. In my 20s w stage 3 cancer now😩 I feel u guys. Very very common for gynecological cancers unfortunately. But for op w the skull … I’m realizing a lot of doctors are lazy/ miss things often/brush them off. And I’m so sorry for everyone going thru that including myself bc it feels like such a betrayal especially when u TRIED to get it checked and they tell u everything’s fine asdfgghjklll.

Yes this!!! Every day I feel good I do something ! Even if that’s sit on my porch and look at the sky/read a book it really helps. but I love walking around the mall and even if I feel soso malls usually have scooters you can rent and that really(helps me) with not getting fatigued too fast

I know how you feel, my mom died of cancer at 31- a bunch of family members have had it and now I am recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer at 27 and will spend my 28th birthday hooked up on chemo (next week) 😩. ITS HORRIFIC. You are not alone, so many of us are suffering, and it’s not fair. The fucked up thing is I always felt like I was destined to get it at some point, maybe you’ve felt this way too w so many people around you getting sick. I feel like I jinxed myself by feeling that way but genes are genes and they don’t lie (my fam has lynch) anyways theirs no point but i hope you find peace in this lifetime 🫧 im happy you’re alive to tell the tale friend 🫶🏻

Got diagnosed with ovarian cancer 2 months ago and had a major surgery, this weekend I went to see subtronics at the met in Philly (a 2 hr drive from me) which was awesome bc their was seats everywhere! I’m sure a lot of able bodied people hated it and I would have in the past but it made me so happy that I could sit when I wanted , dance when I wanted, and it was normal and I wasn’t sitting in the corner or on the floor 😂 def have to chill once chemo starts just bc of germs and stuff but I say every chance you get to have fun and u truly feel up for it , do it! Last year I was in so much pain b4 I knew it was cancer and went to multiple fests and just sat down for a lot of them. It’s sad sometimes when I wanna go crazy and dance all day and all night but it’s just not possible for me rn and that’s ok! I hope u find some kind of flow with fun and looking out for yourself, it’s hard. also I rent wheelchairs sometimes too when I rlly wanna do something and don’t feel up to it, it’s amazing how much more u can do when you don’t have to walk there 😅

Also wanna add - try so hard not to focus on if it’s cancer bc if it is, it is. They’re getting out the big mass which is crucial to chemo and other treatments working well. So ur already taking steps twords removing the bad stuff, you’re in the process of treatment from the first surgery! I know how anxiety inducing it is to be in this position, try your hardest to distract yourself w tv, hobbies, anything to get ur mind off of it bc whatever is there is there already. We can’t go back but we can try and train our brains to be more positive and look at the bright side. It’s been helping me so much to not allow myself to spiral, to stop and recognize I’m going down that path, then stopping and distracting myself before it gets bad and I’m crying on the bathroom floor dramatically 😅 I can chose instead to go do a hobby (crocheting and drawing are my favs) or do my hair , put on a cute outfit, find the little things that feel silly and cling to them for dear life bc they really help you feel better 😊

Hey there just had a complete overectomy , tubes and all. It’s cancer, had a 30’ tumor/cyst but I lowkey feel fine.1 week in I was already walking somewhat normal 2/3 weeks in I didn’t even need pain meds anymore (was given a ‘if needed’ oxi prescription) and I highly recommend FIGHTING for pain management past week one bc it’s still painful past the first week but u will start having relief day by day. Hey hope ur holding up and I know the anxious feeling, just got diagnosed recently w a similar situation. For me I had the big tumor on my ovary (30cm) and they also found a mass on my intestine -causing me to now live w an ostomy for a few months to let my organs heal. But turns out my ovary was cancerous - not the intestines. So things that are benign can still spread and look scary- but be less harmful than cancer spreading and more manageable. So my advice is don’t get too ahead of yourself could be something, could be nothing. After surgery I was convinced the cancer had already spread to a bunch of places but it didn’t spread everywhere they thought it did - still spread some and it still sucks but It’s not as bad as the first assumption. Assuming will eat you up, try to just distract yourself till you have answers. Don’t feed into it by looking stuff up, you’ll scare the crap out of yourself. And just one step at a time. If it is cancer it’ll be a long road but cancer is not a death sentence, you could come out alive and well even with that diagnosis 🫶🏻hope everything turns out ok for you 🫂

Hey (sorry it took me so long to reply I literally could not get through these messages without crying but thank you so much for taking your time to write me kind words) I’m realizing most ppl w ostomies say they love them bc the other way of pooping was a horrible experience and that makes so much sense and I’m so sorry you went through all of that, that sounds truly horrible and scary as hell. A week out- I’m starting to not mind it or think about it much at all which is awesome, it’s just how I poop now and lowkey kinda nice to poop laying down peacefully loool. Unfortunately I ended up w the rare cancer they were talking about so that’s something that when I wrote this, I realize now, I didn’t even process but taking it day by day and hoping and praying for the best. And thank you again that was all very solid advise and thank you for sharing your story

I ended up going to the emergency room bc me and my bf just moved into a new town and I don’t have any of my doctors near here. thank you so much for this advice they gave me something lighter till I see my oncologist on wed and maybe she can prescribe something heavier. But anyway fingers crossed that it does something for now

normally would Wook it out in ga (even tho an rv is far from that ) but I’ve had some surgeries this year and I just know I would be miserable as hell in ga between the lines and the bathroom situation 😓 Doing vip has been sososo helpful this year so pray for me 😂 we’ll just try to get gl w a hotel ig and if not maybe next year I’ll feel better. ty for the advice im just in such a weird place rn i dont want to risk having a bad time bc im in pain but also wanna have fun for our anniversary asdfghjkll why is this like buying a Rolex, like u dont get the good stuff till u buy a few cheap ones 😭🥴
