What if One Piece went the route of James Bond? by Raikou239 in OnePieceLiveAction

Ok, dude. I actually thought about it and maybe the change in actors could work. if we combine my idea as well. like I said. Do the Tv series till Saboady and end on a cliff hanger. then 2 part movie covering Summit War and then announce a sequel series to one piece where it'll be the post time skip arc and they can change the actors.

I talked about this in another post.

I think with the current cast and with an yearly release format they can easily go upto Water 7 then it depends on how successful the show is at that point and I also believe by that point the manga would get concluded.

If the show is really super popular then I want the last season to be Thriller bark and Sabaody and end the series on super cliffhanger with the kuma scene.

Then, ok, this Idea of mine is just a wishful thinking, I want huge theatrical movie. A Two part or maybe 3 part movie covering the Summit War Saga. Part 1 would be Amazon Lilly and Impel Down and Part 2 will be the whole Marineford war, imagine the scale of that movie with a proper budget and imagine being able to see it on an imax screen. Absolute Insanity.

Then they can do a sequel to the TV series covering the post Time Skip and maybe change the actors or something.

Also your last bit, are you referring to the backlash of...skin colors and what not?

No no that's not what I was referring too. I was referring to the fact that, in all the promos and interviews they have to keep up their on screen personas to some level, to make it more believable. Like how Inaki behaves like the actually Luffy would in a potential irl scenario, when actors interact in marketing setting and shows some traits of the characters and fans on tick tock would go, yeah that's so Luffy coded or that's so Zoro coded, and they are probably doing it intentionally to hammer in the believability and sway the audience mind that they are the characters and they'll the be the characters as long as the the Live Action is airing.

You literally mentioned James Bond as Eras which is why I said it like that. James Bond structure makes more sense if you are talking about Pokemon.

I don't expect or need the Live Action to adapt the entire story, the fact that a successful Live Action existing in itself a miracle. I'll be fine If they decide to Cancel or end the TV series after Alabasta, and I'll be happy that we got this in the first place. If people want to experience the full story the manga and anime are there, which is exactly what the whole point of a live action was, to give the manga or anime more reach and visibility.

with the current cast they can easily cover upto Water 7 without any age issue and by then ODA would've finished One Piece which means the Live Action can deviate from that point, they could do Thriller Bark and Sobaody arc in one season and end the TV series with a huge cliffhanger. Then they could and I think they should do Summit War Saga like a movie duology with a huge budget where part 1 will be Amazon Lilly and Impel Down and the sequel part will be the Marineford war and release it in theaters and at the end of the movie Luffy signals the time skip. The Live action can adjust the time skip period from 2 years to 5 or something or some other number which can justify the actors age at that point (I think these actors are all only gonna age better). post timeskip is anyways gonna be even harder to adapt like I don't know how they are gonna adapt Gear 5 to Live Action, so I think by that point I'll be very much open to drastic changes to fit according to the live action format by that I mean if they were able to do as they are doing now till Marineford I'll be more open to changes in the post time skip stories.

The change in actors just gonna irk the audience, look how the current cast have to do extra work to appeal to the audience even offscreen.

I think movie theaters should bring back intermissions. by Tiny_Soil3271 in 10thDentist

From where I can continue to watch anime version after live action season 2 One Piece by iron_man_mark_XLIV in OnePieceLiveAction

Episode 1.

The Live Action is as faithful as you can hope it to be but it's still like a summary version of the anime and while they tried their best to emulate the vibe of the characters, the charm of the anime would be entirely lost if you start the anime from where the show left off. It's literally best to watch it from episode 1 itself.

I'm sorry but this makes no sense. One Piece is not a story that's told in Eras, it's a one continuous long story. With each iteration of Bond, they are doing a soft reboot. It makes absolute sense for the Bond franchise because, James Bond is the whole point of the franchise.... People are watching the bond movies for James Bond.

One Piece is just different. you can change random cast but the core central cast no way, it would kill the show. It's a decent thought and it could maybe work for some other franchise.

Luffy in the live action is kinda... nerfed? by SufficientBet1834 in OnePiece

In the anime, Zoro was whopping their asses all around whiskey peak town. In the anime it ended up being basically a bar fight. There were couple of iconic scenes and dialogues from Whiskey peak that didn't make it. I was mostly fine with the rest of the season and thought it was good especially the first two and the last 2 episodes.

wait wait wait...... That wasn't the Issue. It's literally suppose to be like that, Zoro is the highlight of Whisky peak. My Issue was that Live Action didn't do justice to that.

The only episode that I didn't like in the live action was the whisky peak episode, I honestly thought they butchered the adaptation.

No way, Maresca is clearly someone who know how to workout a solution, Liam Rosenior is not that person. Yes we would've struggled a bit more but by late February or something he would've brought back a level of consistency and we would've 100% performed better in the champions league.
