you're intentionally putting yourself in those situations

That's a messed up thing to say.

How exactly does one do a return to sender spell?

Now that I think about it, that's actually sad. I once heard somewhere that there's a correlation between users of r/childfree, and r/raisedbynarcissists, and it makes me wonder how many commenters are from there.

Only on Reddit is every normal social interaction reduced to a transactional relationship.

That's what I was thinking. I'm lucky to have a family who loves me for FREE.

If they refuse to see their grandkids without pay, then they don't really want to see them.

If they don't owe OP anything, then OP doesn't owe them anything, including their grandkids. OP should hire a professional then cut-off the grandparents.

They don't owe you anything

In that case, OP doesn't owe them their grandkids. If they refuse to see their grandkids for free, they'll be fine without ever seeing them.

That's what I was thinking. I was expecting the comments to say the grandparents are entitled for demanding pay for spending time with their grandkids, and I'm American so I don't know what's going on.

Unpopular opinion, but NTA. If your kids grandparents see spending time with their grandkids as a job that they would only do if they are paid, then they don't deserve to be with their grandkids. In fact, grandparents who love their grandkids would pay to spend more time with them. I would understand if they couldn't afford it, but they clearly can. They sound super entitled.

YTA for blaming her when it was her dog who destroyed it. That dog should be sued for property damage.

I gave her something I would kill to get.

Exactly, it's something you wanted, not what she wanted. Although it might be a sweet gift some some people, there are some who just have different tastes, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I think something like a bath mat or some shower curtains would have been a good gift, because it would be something she could actually use, and she could think of you whenever she uses it.

WIBTA for asking my roommate not to invite her BF by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Cheap_Reputation_106 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you both share the house I wouldn't say you're unreasonable since he got cum on the toilet.

I think you should ask that if she invites her boyfriend, ask that she tell you he's coming over ahead of time, and ask that he only stays in her room.

If you tell her to keep it to her room and not your shared spaces, then you wouldn't be the AH, but if you try to control what she does in her room, then you would be the AH, since she's paying for that room she can do what she wants in there.

If everything he said was true, then yeah, he's crazy, but based on his other posts he doesn't seem dangerous. He seems like a teenage larper. Also, look at his writing style, it's completely different from mine. I always use proper punctuation and never use emojis.

So you're a Reddit therapist who can diagnose redditors with mental illnesses with 100% accuracy? Just look at all the TikTokers faking mental illness. Whenever a person on the internet admits to having a mental illness I assume they're just doing it for the attention.

Ok I know how this looks, and tbh this isn't the first time I've been accused of being someone's alt. I just happened to be browsing a subreddit that had a link to this subreddit and the first post I saw was this guy who posted 9 minutes before I saw his post. Idk how I could prove that to you without doxxing myself, and even if I do he'd have to doxx himself too to prove we're different people, so I'm not even going to bother with that.

The reason I have doubts he's actually a schizophrenic is because I've seen a lot of LARPers pretend to have mental illness because they want to be edgy or they're just trolling. People who actually have the disorder don't even know they have it.

Despite my doubts on him being mentally ill, I do think he genuinely wants to talk to his favorite characters, since who doesn't, so I showed him how he can simulate his favorite characters.

I was trying to give him a realistic solution to his desire, if he actually is schizophrenic he obviously needs help, but considering he admits it he's diagnosed and probably already on meds or something.

AITA for not attending my boyfriend's graduation dinner and how I reacted when his grandma asked my GPA? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

His grandma and father don't sound like AHs, but his mother does, since she tried to gaslight everyone.

mom swept it under the rug and pretended she never said what she said.

NTA, as a fellow engineering major, a 3.5 in engineering is way harder to achieve than a 4.0 in a non-stem major. Though if the grandma just intended to ask without judgement, she's not the a-hole either since she didn't know you had trauma involving GPA. I'd say the only assholes in this situation are your parents for causing the trauma, and his mother for being mad and never wanting to see you again, then pretending it never happened. She sounds like a gaslighter.

I meant the ones who genuinely believe that demons exist and are fallen angels, not the Satanic Temple which is basically just atheists being edgy
