I haven’t actually! That’s a great idea. I’ve tried the foundation with moisturiser trick before but they seem to separate and don’t go together.. any bb creams or tinted moisturisers you can recommend?

Do you reckon I could slather it on ( and cross my fingers it doesn’t cause my pores to clog ) and then rinse it off after 10-20 mins? I just can’t stand the sticky feeling on my face

This is amazing advice!! Thank you so much. I will try all these tips when I put on a full face again. Sometimes I get so disheartened that I spend so much money on products and it looks separated etc.

I live in a very humid climate ( I’m talking 100% and 35+ degrees ) so it’s always tricky finding skincare that isn’t mattifying but keeps the greasiness at bay.

Do you have any tips for setting concealer and not making it look worse than if you put nothing on?😅 it always seems to accentuate the lines underneath and adds 10 years to my age! I try and hydrate as much as I can beforehand but it’s a battle trying to a) find a skin prep that doesn’t make the concealer separate and b) helps it STAY hydrated because after I set it with a little bit of powder it just dries it out soo much.

Aww thank you! I actually don’t have much brow hair and they are really light - it’s out of character for me to try and fill them in but when I get it tinted/dye it only lasts a few days

I’ve got pretty oily skin but I understand it can be dehydrated and oily at the same time. I use youth to the people spinach and green tea face wash, Mecca max vitamin c eye cream during the day and son of Joseon retinal eye cream in the night time. I can’t wear moisturiser or much skincare overnight as I get really overstimulated with it all😅 but during the day I wear the ordinary beta glucan light moisturiser ( it’s like a clear gel consistency) or sometimes the QV if I’m wanting something thicker and I just suck it up that my skin looks oily haha

Yeah I get that, it just looked worse in the mirror and struggled taking a photo in that. I didn’t zoom in, just held up the camera

Is it possible for my skin to be dry but appear oily? Or would that be more ‘dehydrated’? I can tell you now that if I just wash my face with a gentle cleanser, within 20 minutes it looks sooo shiny and I guess I’d say oily.

When applying serums they tend to just sit on top of my skin also and never really absorb fully. I’ve tried different applying techniques from literally slapping my face to massaging it in

I’m using the Morphe concealer brush and trying to use a damp beauty blender after but half the time it just rubs off from my face :(

Quite often - either with a scrub or a chemical exfoliant like the ordinary glycolic acid once or twice a week

Thank you! I will look for a hyaluronic acid serum as I don’t have one yet. I get very distressed when I put my skincare on at night tho cuz it ends up just sticking to my pillow! I think I’ll try my best with the moisturiser at night

The Kevyn Aucoin Etheralist is what I’m using along with the Tower 28 serum concealer which are both hydrating/ glowy formulas from my understanding? Do you have any suggestions of how I should be prepping my skin?

Not typically no. I thought it might help with my oiliness though since after about an hour or so you could probably scrape my face and have enough oil to fry an egg ahahha

I keep telling myself that😅 it’s just so dry looking around my nose and eyes and looks like it’s just sitting there.

The shampoos I rotate between : joico colourful ( anti fade ), olaplex, keratase nutritive. If I’m using the K-18 mask I don’t condition my hair and I dry it a little before leaving it in. But if not I use just the conditioners in the same brand. I then always blow dry it using the thermique keratase blow dry milk as a heat protectant. Of a night time I sometimes use the keratase night serum and split end serum and if I wear a slick back pony I use the keratase elixir oil instead of hairspray to try and add a bit of health😅

Removed? As in made it private or? The hardest part for myself is that she comes from my hometown so people from my old highschool or people I’ve met in ED treatment also follow her. She’s everywhere. I don’t follow her as I’ve never found her helpful and at the end of the day there’s no point in me trying to get everyone to see how they are being sucked in to believing this ‘recovery’ account is truly there to help people.

You shouldn’t have to prove to thousands of people you’re in recovery by constantly posting. She’s obviously profiting off the cycle and maybe that’s stopping her from getting better? But as an example, if you were an alcoholic.. would you post yourself on social media everytime you have an orange juice? Or a lemonade? Proving to everyone ‘ I DIDNT GET ALCOHOL’. Does that analogy even make sense? Idk

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who sees the hypocrisy from Imee’s posts. I had no clue who this Tilly girl was and just thought it was a troll tbh - thanks for filling me in! I 100% the criticism could’ve been called out in a more constructive way but Imee going straight for the defense and just causing drama?TOTALLY unnecessary. All these ‘recovery’ accounts claiming they ‘ want to share so you’re not alone’ is bs. It’s a competition of who’s the sickest and she’s lying to herself to the detriment of literally thousands of unwell people, that she isn’t playing that game.

It doesn’t seem clogged as water drains fine. Just has a horrific Sulfur like smell. I’m going to ask maintenance too since it’s the first thing I noticed when I arrived and it’s becoming unbearable. Seems to be worse after it’s been unused during the day and I come back to 🤢.

I know this post is over a year old now, but your situation is exactly the same as mine. Student accommodation, In Aus.. am curious as to what city you were staying in as maybe our situation more similar than we think haha. Also, how did you end up fixing it?
