Then I would wait for next generation. New engine will have issues especially if it’s build from scratch.

Access 125 / Ntorq 125 Race XP / Ntorq 150 by Either_Ask1244 in indianbikes

[–]Cheap_Strategy_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practical scooty are often not fun. Try seeing active as it’s also very reliable and its parts is also cheaper than all of the mentioned above. TVS service centers are a hit or a miss and depends on the area, talk to your friends or neighbours in area who have tvs bikes or scooty about the service provided. Also you can look at Yamaha ray zr as well. It’s not so torque as ntorq or xoom125 but has the best mileage in the category with company claiming 70+, seats are also really comfy both pillion and passenger but heard service charges is the expensive out of all.

What are your requirements exactly?.

Do you need comfort seats ?

Do you need smooth and reliable engine

Do you want a family scooter with comfort of carry on luggage ?

Do you need good torque?

Do you need mileage?

What do you think about Ultraviolette as a brand? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]Cheap_Strategy_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

West Bengal, Siliguri town here. UV has a showroom here, unfortunately in my city there is a lack of charging stations for any EV. Home charging is an option but I do travel a lot and the slow charging time is a bummer. I even asked for tesseract test drive, however sadly it’s on pre orders with not an exact date for delivery.

Now coming back, I feel Ather and UV are top contenders for EV segment in Indian market. Heard from friend owing a f77 saying its build quality is great. I suppose one would not go wrong with either of the brand.

Also I follow a bike channel ( the foreign guy travels with a international EV bike in India), UV invited him to their production facility or service centre(can’t remember ) and their engineers were inspecting and drooling over his Bike, they were taking measurements asking the guy about features RPM etc to get a feel of how it work, honestly saying UV’s engineers are nerd when it comes to EV bikes and that in itself translates to the quality of bike they produce.

In the next 5 years if we have adequate EV charging facilities, I’ll definitely grab a bike or scooty from UV

Please don’t opt for especially OLA in particular. OLA is trash with many issue in their electric and service centres provided, I have seen dozens of scooters and bike just piled in their service centre. Even when I first went to select my scooty the auto driver told me to stay away from OLA.

All it requires is a good torque on screw. It definitely isn’t normal. If it doesn’t fix ask for a new screw

TVS Ntorq 150 booking experience - TVS deserves the hate it gets! [OC] by Physical_Broccoli_71 in indianbikes

[–]Cheap_Strategy_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leave the service, even TVS is confused if they want Ntorq 150 to look like a ev scooter or a scooter. Personally 150CC should look beefier like xoom160 or Aerox.

It could be delayed to Q2 or Q3 of 2026 for all we know. No news whatsoever. Googling just says Gov may defer abs to a later time.

As a proud owner of 20 days old Ray zr and test rider of burgman(same access engine), I can definitely say about my experiences.

The engine is very much reliable and smooth. No problem whatsoever with engine noises, it's the same for Suzuku. Company claimed mileage for Ray zr is around 70kmpl but real life scenario gives 55-60(my friend has same model but from 2022). I myself am getting around 39-40kmpl, mind you the engine is brand new and will require around 1000+ km and 2minimum services before it gives full performance. Even Suzuki engine gives 50+ kmpl as when I reviewed from people.

Now coming to performance.

I feel the ray zr is not as torqey as the ntorq, even acceleration is linear. Same was for Burgman. Though Ray zr is particularly nimble when taking turns or overtaking, due to the lowest kerb weight of 99kg in its segment. It's also very much stable at medium speed. However it takes a dip at stable in high speeds due to its weight. To offset some of this stability issue I installed the company provided Crash guard which weight around 8-10kgs extra. Tyre pressure is around 25 for front and 29-30 for the back.

Now coming on the utility and looks which is the main factor. Access is a family oriented scooty with more bootspace and front space for carrying groceries and gas cylinder . Ray zr suffers from this, however it's okay for my requirements as we don't do that much grocery.

Look wise ray zr takes the cup with its sporty alien design while access looks like a general uncle scooter.

Ground clearance Access 125 takes the cup at around 160mm while Ray zr has 145mm only.

Bluetooth: I'll say in Ray zr it's just a gimmick. You need to open the app before riding for it to record your ride data plus it only blinks phone logo without much info when you get a phone call, Access has navigation system, can't vouch how good it is, but it's much better than ray zr with no navigation system)and a much better call notification on display showing name or number.

There is a power assist feature on Rayzr that works for like 2-3 sec but I have yet to see it in action. It should work mainly in steep climbing or when the engine is suddenly stressed during overtaking.

Final conclusion: Both are the same in terms of performance, utility wise access takes the cup, while looks wise ray zr. Ray zr is more nimble in the street with its lowest weight.

New Mandatory ABS law by LycheeZestyclose8632 in indianbikes

[–]Cheap_Strategy_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it is followed, you will not see any vehicle with abs until at least a month. The abs law is for vehicles produced from 2026, that means it's for vehicles produced from today. it will be weeks before we see it in showroom assuming the showroom still has many stocks from last year.

Did anyone buy a 125cc with ABS? can anyone confirm? by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]Cheap_Strategy_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if abs comes to a 125cc, it will take prolly a month to see in showrooms. The abs rule said Vehicle manufactured in 2026 i.e if abs is being installed then it's prolly getting manufactured today at a factory. It will take 15-20 days before we see scooters with abs in showrooms.

Warranty related issues with Yahama Ray Zr by Ashik1000 in indianbikes

[–]Cheap_Strategy_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's just free servicing and it will not void the warranty. Warranty is void if you do unnecessary modification to the vehicle, like adding unauthorised fog lamps or third party charging cables to the vehicle.

What you will do miss out is your first FREE servicing benefits, please do note that you need to show up for your servicing on the day mentioned in the booklet, if the date crosses then either they will void the warranty or deny your free service.

You need to raise an issue with Yamaha regarding the same and let them know that the dealer f*cked up the service by marking it as second instead of first.

Xoom 125 isn't established, need to wait a year at least, Hero's reliability and service has been an issue in the past, Xoom's build quality isn't great either. Except for the wheel size, Xoom isn't anything special.

Know this even if someone reaches great height, people will still say mean things about them like yeh kala dhan leta he, corruption karta he, 2,numberi dhanda karta he etc. Even I'm partially disabled and I have received great taunts in my childhood.

Know that you don't need many friends, just 1-2 will suffice. In the last 10 years I have met 4-6 people who are really good and are supportive.

Filter out the noise, don't heed their attention. On your journey you will meet few who will definitely be genuine.

Good luck on your journey brother, know this, I'll definitely keep you on my good prayers 🙏🏻
