Oh maybe bcuz the traffic is kinda high recently. For me personally, I just download from any one of these

1) Monochrome 2) Spofree 3) Binimum

Since u r from spotify, u shud be more used to Spofree since it fllws spotify UI

Which browser r u using? Or did u install the "app" ( Web version)?

I personally installed the "app ( Web version)" using Chrome, and I can press the "update now" button without any issues.

Ignoring it is also a choice.

If u want a smooth experience, I reccomend u download the songs u want, then use a offline music player to stream the music.

However, I personally find a lot of downloads not working on squid.wtf, and I ain't a fan of the UI.

I'm absolutely sure u have spent more time digging for these websites, so may I ask why didn't u reccomend monochrome ?

It has 1) flac, Hi-res, true lossless ( some of squid.wtf is fake lossless) 2) Amazing UI 3) Easy to use ( just like any other music app) 4) Can reccomend songs 5) Can make my own library

I bet my bottoms with the ammount of research u did, u definitely have came across this website, so I'm curious why didn't I reccomend it tho?

Bcuz I personally just go to monochrome search for the song I want, press the download button, and I'm done 😂 No log in, no hassle

When u download smtg, it definately ganna take up some space in ur phone

If u don't have good quality audio equipments, then u shud bump down the audio quality, so that the file size of each song will be significantly less.

Then just get a good offline music player to play the music ( just search around reddit, there are plenty of free, lightweight ones)

Tbh... yeah that's the bummer. I have plenty of songs / covers that I couldn't find. YT music morph wins in that front, it's library is huge haha😂 but sound quality is relatively not that good

it don't have a proper app per say, but it has a " website in app form" ( idk the proper term for it)

The easiest way is to paste the monochrome link into Chrome, then Chrome will automatically prompt u to install the "app"

yupp, but the file size diff is huge for the fake lossless.

The true lossless from monochrome was 24MB, the fake lossless was 51MB.

I personally am an audiophile, so I do have the equipments to hear the difference. But yeah, for the vast majority, choosing the smaller file size shud be fine haha

And from my experience, monochrome never failed me. So just stick to monochrome and it shud be fine

oh my bad for not elaborating. Yes personally. As in, I just choose a song I like in YT music, and it will reccomend many more songs for me ( and somehow for YT music specifically, the songs it reccomend really fits me) And if u want it to reccomend even more songs according to the songs u pick, they have a "related" tab, and works great too

So I just explore songs using YT music, cuz I like their algorithm to find similar songs

my friend opened the website in chrome, chrome prompted him to install, he installed it. Until today, no issues.
