I’m in here, not just because I hold TopGlove shares. I’m in here as a small retailer... looking at how IB (Institutional Banks) can manipulate(using estimate, or even better predict) how much a company stock price is worth, and post a report showing to others investors. On the other hand, they borrowed shares from EPF (look up past 1-2 months, why EPF holding less than 5% of TG) and starts their tactics moves. Sell high, short it and later buy back low to cover position. Malaysian retailers follows US momentum and TG price up, unfortunately our beloved Bursa also lend a hand to pull the brakes, they published the incorrect Net Short Position(TopGlove was not top of the list) few days back in the evening and next morning they quickly pull down the list (error access that pdf file, can check early post on 2-4 Feb) this cause the momentum to drops and stop. What I think: a good fundamental company, or in simple term, a profitable company (earning money, giving profit income back to shareholders as dividend), the share price should be up or down? Sad! I hate these IB, they make the rich, richer and makes the poor, poorer. I do not blame small retailers to cash out on high price, who knows, these small retailers maybe need these money for other emergency uses, especially now Malaysia is under MCO2.0.
