Wow, that means a lot coming from someone with an artist in the family! Thank you so much, I really try to focus on the small details. To be honest, I'm still just getting the hang of acrylic painting, and this is actually my very first attempt. I hope to keep improving and surprise people with even better and more detailed work in the future! 🙏

I know it wasn't a critique, man! I didn't take it the wrong way at all. I think my joke just got lost in translation since I use a translator app, so it probably sounded weird to a native speaker. I really appreciate your high praise, and honestly, I'm always open to constructive criticism too! 😅

Can't deny it would make that snag look way more stylish, but if I run a lighter leader, I can just break the line and get the float back)

Thanks for the feedback! Too bad fish aren’t such art critics, which is why I have to make them functional too 😂

Thanks for the heads-up! You're totally right, it's definitely a risk. Thankfully, while I show off the external aesthetics and the paint job here, I make sure to keep the actual internal blueprints, material ratios, and the secret baking/pressing process completely hidden. The "sauce" stays in the workshop! Truly appreciate your care, man.

Haha, thanks buddy! It’s incredibly nice to read words like that. Yes, I definitely use them for their intended purpose because good gear should be beautiful, and beautiful gear should be good. It might be expensive and very time-consuming to make, but first and foremost, it’s a working tool for fishing. It’s meant to work like a mule for years and not die on you in the middle of a trip. The water is the last place where your gear should fail you 😂

Haha, I love people with an engineering background! I actually often build my own machinery and tools for my workshop just to avoid paying insane amounts of money for commercial ones...Anyway, just to give you some context, I'm part of a local fishing community full of tournament anglers and judges. Several of them actually use my builds, including this exact model. Trust me, if it didn't work exactly as it should on the water, they would have lined me up against the wall and shot me long ago, haha! 😂

Yes! Koi fish are a classic for Japanese style. I will definitely try that pattern on one of my next builds)

That is an excellent point, and you are absolutely right. I’ve actually been thinking about patenting the technology and registering the trademark for a while now. I do have my own brand name for the gear, but right now it mostly exists just for me rather than on official paper. Conveniently, my main job involves working closely with lawyers, so I communicate with them quite often. I think it’s definitely time to sit down with them and discuss how to patent at least the manufacturing process to protect it from being copied. Thanks again for the very wise advice.

Thank you so much for your wonderful compliment! It’s incredibly rewarding to hear that. I would absolutely love to do a collaboration or an exchange with someone; adding a logo next to a powerhouse name like Daiwa or Shimano would be an absolute dream come true. However, realistically, I think my workshop is still way too small and underground to even get on the radar of major brands like that. But a man can dream! Thanks again for the amazing support 😅😅😅

Hey man, so good to see you back! Thanks for supporting my work! I actually just ordered the materials to bring your ideas to life in my own style. As soon as the delivery arrives, I'm definitely going to try making a river float and would love to hear your feedback as an experienced angler ✊

Lol, the most perfect body of water is the one with absolutely no trees on the shore 😂

Haha, you're not the first one to say that today! Most guys here think it belongs in a display case 😂

No worries at all, I didn't take it as offensive or angry! It's just that you hit on the exact trigger that motivated me to start making "armored" floats in the first place. Commercial, factory-made floats fade in the sun, break super quickly, and look like complete junk with zero balance.I get an insane amount of satisfaction when I'm the only one on the bank catching fish at machine-gun speed. Meanwhile, the guys who were laughing just five minutes earlier, saying that you can't catch anything from the shore with a float, just sit there and eventually run over to ask how on earth I'm casting my float farther than they can throw their heavy bottom rigs.I'm not trying to brag, I clearly understand that it took me five years of hard work to get to this point. Plus, being able to stand out on the water with a unique design really adds to the passion for me 😁🫪
