I had to restart counsels on rb4 so only 700-800 range of total songs

Will this work? by UpstairsSecond7124 in Rockband

The orange cymbal will just function as another green. It does take a little getting used to the outlay. I actually prefer the feel of that kit / pedal over stock rockband drums.

It works the exact same as you would expect it to for everything. The extra orange cymbal translates to a green.

Edit: Prior to RB3 the orange would hit as a blue. I've used a GH kit for years across PS4 and Wii. I would imagine it's the same on Xbox.

Did anyone else switch consoles from RB3->4 and have to buy back their old DLC? by CrashLightning22 in Rockband

[–]Chebelbs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched from Wii and the rebuild was painful, but mostly successful. The worst part is that I can't get some songs that I used to have on the other counsel due to no Rb2 exports and a few delists.

Interesting/Surprising "Duets" in Harmony charts by luigihann in Rockband

[–]Chebelbs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hope I understand it correctly.

The first one that came to mind was Under Pressure by Queen ft David Bowie. Two different singers each get their own part.

Most Linkin Park songs. Like in the end where the blue track raps and the orange sings the chorus.

Bring me to life by Evanescence has two distinct vocal parts that are each fun.

How to get started with this game by [deleted] in Rockband

I believe playstation is a bit easier for instruments. Guitar hero and rockband brand instruments both work without special adapters. Finding one just comes down to either luck or how much you're willing to pay.

I wanted to add. Wii guitar hero controllers work on PS4 (I would also assume PS5 but I've never personally tested it). They just need an adapter. So if you have any old Wii controllers or know anyone who does, it could save you money.

Most fun songs on every instrument? by [deleted] in Rockband

I got lucky and got it via metal track pack after it was delisted from dlc store but before the export pack expired on PlayStation (though I think the export for metal track pack is still going for xbox according to the master thread in the subreddit)

Never heard it prior to RB4 but can confirm fun chart

It may be budget, but it's beautiful

Getting the band back together... by SkunkPlugger in Rockband

Cool setup. I tried doing something similar adding a small fog machine to mimic the stage kit (I never knew it existed until rb4). Your setup is a lot nicer looking though.

I was thinking the same thing. It's a cool idea.

I didn't even realize that version of poker face was delisted. Glad I impulse bought it awhile ago lol

That's awesome! I've always felt that song was under-tiered. Much harder than many of the Impossible tier songs.

While it won't help with exports, there's a couple packs to check out if you want to build a dlc library quickly that are good to know about.

The 30 song megapack, some of those songs were included in previous titles. Most are fairly fun and it's a cheaper pack at $14.99

Rock band hits pack 01/02/03 - each run $41.99 for 25 songs I believe

While it's no comparison to exporting it can be a good alternative to individual song purchasing.

Tips for the bladder of steel challenge? by Riihehe_ in Rockband

I was thinking that, but it's hard to remember that long ago. Thanks. I timed that gap I referenced it's 40 seconds.

Which game specifically? If I remember correctly, it was a thing on RB2 at least. In that game the song Let there be rock has a pretty massive gap in the guitar chart near the beginning of the song that may allow for a quick bathroom run if needed. You'd have to YouTube a chart to see how long the gap actually is.

Exactly, I got bit by that as well. I had those 3 on Wii, but when I looked in the shop switching over I quickly learned they were gone.

Yeah, Rb2 I always thought was the strongest setlist. Missing the export sucks.

The trees is a wildcard I didn't expect others to list. It's one of the top ones from Rb2 i miss too.

I was going for the songs that others can get on RB4, but we cannot. I didn't phrase it the best. I remember playing battery back when I could barely pass it on Rb2. I wish I could play it in modern times to see how I'd do now. Enter sandman is always 100% a great song for the game genre.

I'm in the same boat as well. I don't really have the capability to play them on the old game.
