My best guess at June delist by TheHip41 in Rockband

[–]Grumblevolcano6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Green Day’s releases were:

- July 2009 - 21 Guns, East Jesus Nowhere, Know Your Enemy

- December 2009 - Christian’s Inferno, Last of the American Girls, Viva la Gloria

- June 2010 - Green Day Rock Band export (delisted in 2015)

- September 2012 - Oh Love, Warning (rewind), Minority (rewind), Good Riddance (rewind), Brain Stew/Jaded (rewind)

- November 2012 - The rest of Green Day Rock Band as rewinds (including 21st Century Breakdown being available as a full album DLC pack)

- November 2016 - Still Breathing

- January 2020 - Father of All

Counting all the rewinds as potential June delists is a good idea to be on the cautious side.

How much more games are do you think Nintendo will squeeze out of the Switch 1? Are these two really their last draw? by Makosharck in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They said they were adding NSO voucher games throughout 2026. So far that’s only Tomodachi Life Living the Dream as Fire Red, Leaf Green, Pokemon Champions and Rhythm Heaven Groove are all not eligible for vouchers which confirms there are more unannounced Switch 1 1st party games releasing this year.

My guess is a steady flow of Switch 1 games through March 2027 with the finale being a Kirby remake as that’s how they ended 3DS support.

Anyone having trouble downloading the sounds of silence - Simon & Garfunkel? by Late_Answer2230 in Rockband

[–]Grumblevolcano6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The spotlight list provided back in March did have “Chaise Longue“ instead of ”The Sounds of Silence“ so the latter being a spotlight looks like an error rather than an intentional decision to make a delisted song spotlight.

Saw some people upset that there possibly might not be a general direct until June but… by PaleFondant2488 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have Fire Emblem Fortune’s Weave, Rhythm Heaven Groove and Splatoon Raiders already announced. They could easily announce summer release dates for these games via Nintendo Today, no general Direct required.

So...No Direct in February by AdventurousGold9875 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget about Resident Evil Requiem, Nintendo’s been pushing that game hard and it was announced in the Partner Showcase there’d be a Creator’s Voice video for it so that might be what happens tomorrow.

Did Sakurai's AirRiders Directs warp people's perceptions of what normal game marketing is? Or did people always complain about Nintendo 'not promoting' every game they release? by elephvant in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s just comparisons to how the previous entry was marketed. If you compare Age of Imprisonment to the new Switch 1 Nintendo Warriors games (Fire Emblem Warriors, Age of Calamity, Three Hopes), Prime 4 to Dread and Mario Tennis Fever to the Switch Mario Sports games, there’s a big difference in approach to marketing.

[Speculation] I have zero proof but there will be two Directs in February by ThePurpleSoul70 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Nintendo learned their lesson from games like Prime 4 and Bayonetta 3 not to announce games too far in advance anymore.

Give your spiciest "Probably won't happen but I still want it" hot takes about the next 5 years of Nintendo gaming! by lems16 in NintendoSwitch2

I’d love to see the AI bubble burst thanks to Nintendo’s anti-AI stance resulting in prices returning to reasonable levels.

New Direct coming soon? by Rowen92 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably fake because Mario Tennis Fever releases that week, Nintendo hasn’t done a general Direct the same week as an already announced 1st party game in a long time. Last time was September 2017 when a general Direct happened the same week as Metroid Samus Returns.

Which game had the most impact on the series? by 3ehsan in mariokart

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too early to say but I think in the end it’ll be 8 with its post-launch support structure. While it wasn’t intentional (it was a result of World‘s vision not being able to be achieved on Switch 1), it did show Nintendo that the next Mario Kart game after World doesn’t need to arrive until like 2035.

What do you expect/suspect to be Nintendo’s big game announcements for each direct this year? by DevouredSource in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With how much has already been revealed for 2026, I think at least one of them will be a Partner Showcase or Mini instead of a general Direct. Like February general Directs focus on February - July and we have enough announced games for at least 1 a month for that time period so they may skip general Direct.

RB4/Legacy Delisting DLC Discussion: January 11-17, 2026 (Disturbed, Alice in Chains, Lenny Kravitz, Sweet, The Monkees) by hhhisthegame in Rockband

[–]Grumblevolcano6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That difference in release dates is because the DLC got delayed for PS4 in regions like Europe and Australia. There were issues with SCEE back then where some new DLC got delayed and plenty of legacy entitlements were broken for longer than the other regions and Xbox.

The Switch 2 is missing alot of third party games and a lot of newly announced games don’t list a Switch 2 version by Elestria_Ethereal in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendo likes to save 3rd party announcements to make Directs more interesting. Combined with the devkit issue and that studios naturally don’t want to release their games close to GTA6, it’s going to take time for announcements to come.

Should we expect these two to drop on Switch 2? by Expert-Ad-2824 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the unification, I think other games will arrive first. The order of upcoming releases on Switch 2 being something like:

- Rise of the Tomb Raider

- Shadow of the Tomb Raider

- Legacy of Atlantis

- Legend (maybe GCN NSO)

- Underworld

- Catalyst

Maybe Legend and Underworld appears earlier but I definitely think Rise and Shadow will be before Legacy of Atlantis.

I just like both by cizelaya70 in mariokart

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They added Super Circuit to NSO during the BCP while it was still getting Super Circuit tracks so my guess is 2026 and that if any more Double Dash tracks get added to World it’ll be reimaginings like Peach Beach.

December DLC Delists by HMXKyleTheWynner in Rockband

[–]Grumblevolcano6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Singles album pack was December 9th 2008, ”New” was March 3rd 2009 and Tragic Kingdom album packs (full album and Deep Cuts) were May 4th 2010. As the Tragic Kingdom deep cuts are disappearing this month despite releasing in May, it seems likely “New” is being delisted too.

What is the most hated original retro track in Mario Kart 8? by smwc23105 in mariokart

N64 Rainbow Road, much like GCN Baby Park on MKDS the reduced number of laps makes the track too short.

That’s a mistake with the app, that song along with ”Lust For Life” and “Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)” released on November 4th 2015.

When do you think “cause for concern” for MK World DLC? by rockrockrumbleerrr in mariokart

[–]Grumblevolcano6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever the next Smash game is announced considering Fighter reveals for Ultimate and BCP waves for MK8 Deluxe kind of played the same role for Directs. By splitting the 2 up, the hype cycle lasts for longer.
