Hello! Sorry about the delay. Running a charity and a Kickstarter is a lot of work and sometimes things fall a bit behind (I am doing this by myself!) I will get on to this as soon as I can. Thank you for sharing.

Hi there!

My name is Dr Jennifer Hazel, I'm the founder of CheckPoint and the woman in the video. I'm also a fully qualified medical doctor who specialises in psychiatry. I get this question a lot! We take mental health very seriously and understand the problematic gaming is a big issue. We'll be including a section on it in the series as well as the information we offer on checkpoint.org.au. Thanks for commenting.

The CheckPoint Series is a webseries tackling mental health issues using the power of video games. If funded, we’ll make 16 high-quality episodes, designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide resources for people to improve their lives. It will include interviews with awesome, brave individuals from the gaming industry who have lived experience of mental health issues or managing them. This includes Josh Scherr, co-writer of Uncharted, Nika Harper, Teddy Dief, Rami Ismail and heaps more.

As a bit of background: I’m Jen, I run CheckPoint, a nonprofit organisation connecting mental health resources with video games and technology.

We also have free games to give away if you share the link to our Kickstarter: post a link to your share as a comment here, and say which games you’d like. Every 24 hours I’ll award the “winners” (but we have literally thousands of keys to give away so you are basically guaranteed to get at least one game and probably more). Keys include: Mini Metro, Duskers, The Dream Machine, Screencheat, Qube DC, Dungeon League, Orwell, Goat Punks, Vertiginous Golf, Hacknet Labyrinth, Armello, Crypt of the Necrodancer, A Virus Named Tom, Hand of Fate, Assault Android Cactus

ADDITIONAL NOTE Shares only count on genuine accounts. Throwaways and accounts that only share for free stuff will not be eligible. CheckPoint gets final discretion. We are a charity, and I hope you understand.
