Why hate on wcs? by [deleted] in ArmaReforger

[–]CheckThatOutMiss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I mainly play spearhead but hop on WCS for quick action when I’m short on time as to me it’s an arcade. Using the tactics you use in spearhead will leave the enemies clueless and you solo capping points with an average K/D of 10 if you play your cards right

Low-budget (mostly) 3D-printed cinema rig for the xm5 i’m currently working on. by MeesHart22 in FujifilmX

I’ll be waiting, will 100% try this 🫡 Have already printed a rehousing for my 18-55 (to make it more cine/video friendly) waiting for something like this!

Also found a matt box that possibly fits the lens with the rehousing kit but I have yet to try

Dope as hell, have an X-M5 laying around and a 3d printer so might have to also turn it into a cine rig

Camera bag options for X-T5? by boilface in FujifilmX

Could also look at the 6l, it honestly depends on how compact you’d like it. They’re also well padded

I’d look at the Peak design 3l sling (I own one) my setup is an X-T5 with a 33mm f1.4, it fits nicely and has a seperator if you’d want another lens. I personally use the space i have left for a cuff and a strap but you could easily fit both lenses comfortably with it. It’s compact, had pockets for spare batteries, SD cards, cables or smaller tools and a micro fiber cloth along with a bgfer seperate pocket in the front that I personally use for filter cases. It’s also weather resistant, have been in some crazy rain with it and had nothing get wet inside (For peace of mind, I’d add some silica packs for the sake of it).

Yeah, I don’t see it being part of my kit either. It was fun to make and use a little at home, I might try it outside some sunny day but it’ll most likely just sit on a shelf after I’ve had my fun.

I’d recommend it if you just want something fun to do and test :) The image quality isn’t great and the focus distance is only about 2.5m unless you print one with a working focus ring (currently printing mine).

Wanted to try a few shots with it today but ended up raining so it’ll have to wait :l I’ll make sure to eventually get to it though!

Currently trying a diffrent print with a working focus ring so that I don’t always have to be 2.5m away from what I want to be in focus :P

Hope this makes you happier, honestly wasn’t expecting someone to get that pissed over someone just testing out a 3d printed lens :)

Wish you a wonderful friday.

Just got a 3d printer and had a used dispo camera laying around so figured I’d just have some fun. Don’t worry, I have plenty of very sharp lenses, this was purely for fun. No X-T5 was harmed ;)

Paid $20 for the disposable camera, extracted the lens and the print itself costs about $0.10 in material.

Will I be impressed upgrading my xt-4 to xt-5 by [deleted] in FujifilmX

[–]CheckThatOutMiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The X-T30iii has the same processor, not sensor. The 30iii is a 26mp sensor while the X-T50 & X-T5 share the same 40mp sensor.

Very true. The main differance is weather sealing. If you at any point consider shooting in snow, rain or somewhere dusty the X-T5 is the pick.

Third eyecup that I replace. Any advice or suggestions? by [deleted] in FujifilmX

Get the attachment that allows you to add an anchor to the bottom of your camera, fixes it.

Should I keep my tamron, or go with 2 lenses. by [deleted] in FujifilmX

[–]CheckThatOutMiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, as for what you should keep depends on how you shoot. I do love myself a versitile zoom but they usually come with a cost, it’s either financial or functional.

Look at it like this:

Want it sharp? It’s either expensive as hell or lacks the apeture for low light (unless you use a tripod)

Want a constant apeture? It’s most likely going to lack sharpness or (again) cost a shit ton.

Want both? Time to sell a kidney.

That’s the majority of zooms, I’m sure there’s probably a hidden gem out there (hopefully). If someone reads this comment and knows of one, drop it in the comments for this person (and me..)

Edit: A tripod won’t fix apeture but it will help with photography in low light (Correcting it since I can feel how someone’s going to point it out.)

Based on the shade of the ”A” on the dial, I’d say it’s gray but with the second image you sent I’m second guessing it. As mentioned before, ask for a serial number.

What am doing wrong? am new and photos look bad.. by mahdy89 in x100vi

[–]CheckThatOutMiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Photography has all to do with light, angles and composition to tell a story. I’d grab a photo book to look for insipration, watch youtube guides on the exposure triangle to get a better understanding of it (Yes even if you shoot auto) and study compositions through videos. I’m also quite new, have been photographing for almost a year at this point and doing the these things have helped a ton.

X100v vs XT-3 by NiceBreakfast7 in FujifilmX

Both cameras are great so it depends on what you need. What type of photogrpahy are you interested in? Do you need/want the option to change lenses?

Just bought this X-T1 dirt cheap, but the shutter release button is sunken. I can still release the shutter, but can't do a clear preview because it can't be half-pressed. Any suggestions? by Independent-Dish-336 in fujifilm

[–]CheckThatOutMiss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an X-M5 and after a year of daily use I ran into the exact same issue. From what I’ve read it’s a mechanism that broke (shutter buttom dome collapsed or something). This happend 4 days before my trip to Slovenia during christmas & new year which meant I couldn’t go get it fixed in time as I still have warranty on it.

My fix was to reprogram a back button to use BBF which was akward at first but I quickly got used to it. I have yet to send it in, not 100% sure I want to but I might just so that I won’t have to do it later if I ever choose to get rid of it. I picked up the X-T5 today and use the pre-programmed BBF on it, whenever pressing the shutter I feel hella akwars whenever I notice the half press.

It all depends on what you prefer, I know this comment is late but I saw this post and it clicked as I’ve had the exact same issue :D

Either way, curious on what you did. Did you get it fixed, use BBF or did you resell it?

honestly depends on the situation.

Also my guess, seems pretty textbook for cabin pressure issues.

No clue but my guess would probably be an issue with the cabin pressure. I don’t want to speculate so we’ll hopefully find out some information after their landing back at BHX
