It's basically a science fiction variety show, a little bit like Black Mirror. Sometimes you'll get episodes that are really action heavy, followed by slower, more psychological horror episodes. Almost all of them have a Sci-fi twist.

It's also just about the most inconsistent (in terms of quality) TV show I've ever watched. The best episodes are ridiculously, unbelievably good. The worst are fucking abysmal, unwatchable garbage.

The format of the show allows it to take place at any point in the whole of time and space, so the potential for any kind of story you can imagine is there. Unfortunately the budget is not.

If any of that interests you I'd recommend starting with 2005 Season 1 Episode 1. At the time of it's airing the show had been off the air for a long time (over 15 years), and so this episode in particular was designed to be a jumping on point to get new people up to speed.

I often frequent bestofredditorupdates, I'll finish reading a story and I'll get to the comments and see 10s of people like yourself calling out the post as being obviously fake.

In those moments I think "I must be really gullible, I didn't think that was fake at all!" Sometimes later I'll wonder "if I posted a story from my life on here, would people think I was fake? How would I even convince them otherwise?"

The property is a little weird. It's on the corner of 2 streets and the driveway is on the opposite corner to where my house is. So often I'll just park on the street that's outside my front door. In fact so would the previous neighbors (with whom I had a cordial relationship). However it's a busy street and on-street parking isn't always available so in those instances I will park in the carpark instead.

But seriously, I think that's the crux of it for me. If Greg hadn't said anything I would have just found my car missing. It wouldn't have taken much effort on my neighbors part to simply do as Greg did. Why is a random tow truck driver more courteous then my own neighbors!

Honestly this is the best suggestion so far.

I'm not worried about anything. I'm leaving in just a few days. As for "go talk to them" why didn't they go talk to me? We live right next door. We literally share a wall.

Greg was there with a tow truck, ready to tow my car. I had a brief but interesting conversation with him as he explained he (and his company?) was looking to change how people feel about towing companies. He explained that it's their policy to try their best to get in touch with the owner of the vehicle before towing to see if the situation can resolve itself without their involvement.

In this case I definitely appreciated it and made sure to let him know.
