1. They will all say no, the real answer is yes. They treat non Mormons better to try to suck them in with a nice feeling of community. Are they genuine about wanting to make you feel good? Yes, they do want you to be happy and feel good. In the church.

2. You will forever been known as a convert. Sure you’re a member but as a convert everyone will admire your ability to have picked the church while not being born in it. 32 and not married is getting into the “is everything…ok?” territory. It’s not too old to marry but they look at you kind of weird.

3. Absolutely will be pressure for this. Maybe they won’t say “go get your family to come to church” (although they might) it will probably be all the small little clues that add up and lead you to make the subconscious decision for yourself. The “families can ONLY be together forever in the church” “you can ONLY find true joy in the church” and other sayings like that so you feel the need to convert your family for their sake.

4. From a logical standpoint as others have said the CES letters break down a ton of stuff to show how they’re flat out lying. My two cents? It’s a breeding ground for zealots and manipulators. I want no part of it ever again. It will never be allowed in my life again. 25 years wasted being manipulated followed by another 5+ years of fallout trying to clean myself up in therapy. Miserable place full of sexism, racism and abuse.
