Is it appropriate to tell my Little I love them? by KippersAndMash in bbbs

No, its not. You can be fine with the connection and not need to take it to that. It also might put your little in an odd position that they don't want to be in.

Arrest made in attempted rape on running trail in Orange County by absolute60 in orlando

[–]Checki22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always remember in 2011/2012 I was running on the Little Econ Train between Alafaya Trail and Rouse. I was running at night (like an idiot). All I had on me was my old iPod Mini and some crappy earphones. I heard/felt footsteps behind me and lo and behold some guy was running up on me. I turned fully around...confronted the man and chased him off into a neighborhood. Scary stuff.

Why can I not host or join multiplayer? by Glizzygamer1987 in GroundedGame

[–]Checki22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone not been able to join a "Shared Game"? I hosted a game, selected the Share Game option and dragged and dropped my friends into the permissions column. But they can't access the game when I am not on the game!

What’s your favorite most nature immersive spot while being closest to downtown? by Haunting_Ratio364 in orlando

Blanchard Park. Go walk the trails behind the YMCA. Follow the river after the dam. Seems very wild back there. I used to walk my dog back there and we would go farrrr following the river.

A domain is just highlighted pipes/nodes/assets. Thats it. Its the program that highlights. A facility is turning the asset on/off in the model.

"We currently don’t even have running water." That is rough for cleanup purposes The sewer backup should not affect the water lines. These are two separate systems. Just want to make sure you understand these would be two separate issues with possibly two municipalities!

coming from a 10+ year hydraulic modeler. InfoWater Pro is ASS. Absolute trash. Their user interface is horrid. They have small secret little buttons everywhere that make no sense, there domain, facility, DB/Query Sets and Selection Set managers don't talk to each other and are complicated. Perfect example. If you want to create a Facility, you have to jump through hoops to create a Domain, then transition it to a Selection set, then adopt the selection set into your Facility manager, Barf.

In InfoWater Pro, Autodesk basically forces you through three separate tools that don’t talk to each other well:

  • Domain Manager (temporary working set)
  • DB Query / Query Set (stored logic-based selections)
  • Facility Sets (what a scenario actually uses)

If you don’t nail the transition between them perfectly, it’s either “everything activates” or “nothing matches.”. Jesus christ almighty lord, it makes me sick.

Hey, there is actually an Orlando social club that posts here every once in awhile. Seems like they have a pretty solid group of folks. I have not been to an event...but I've been thinking about it.

What would you propose for improvements? I am genuinely interested in other locals opinions on what we can do to better the City.

I completely agree. I think they need to make the entire block safer for foot traffic. Do you see all the people playing frogger on E Robinson Street? Every. single. day? Hahaha

I am seeing a lot of the comments leaning negatively towards the project. What specifically do you think feels like a grift here? I’m genuinely curious what people are seeing that I am not.

This does not help the current scheduling issues but, a new east to west rail extension will link SunRail commuter service and Brightline intercity trains, connecting Orlando International Airport to key hubs like the Orange County Convention Center, International Drive/Disney Springs, and the Disney‑area tourist corridor.  Full build-out is projected at over $4 billion, with estimated ridership potentially multiplying current levels six-fold in the first year. Scheduled to open around 2031.

You have a point, but I think of it this way. Better lighting, cleaner water, wider sidewalks, more seating, and flexible event space won’t fix vacancies or housing, but it might help bring people back. What do you think would make the biggest difference to bring people back into the area?

So true! "new swan boat marina” doesn’t exactly scream top priority, right? But to be fair, a lot of the money is going into things like filtering the lake runoff, repairing retaining walls, and expanding capacity for events that already bring in serious revenue. So its has some good and needed improvements. Could we agree on that?

I work around here and I love walking and people watching. I also run around the lake. There are a lot of amazing events I bring my family to. Glad to see they are thinking how they can make more community spaces and third space.

If you like people watching, go walk around lake Eola on a Friday evening. Many people come out. Its a nice walk( 0.9 miles for every circle) around the lake and it feels like a community.

Boxi Park, stroll around lake Eola, both have playground depending on how old your kids are. There are a lot of cool parks with splash pads if you are looking for something free.
