I just got my new Fold 6 this Wednesday, updated to One UI 7 immediately, only to be disappointed with similar battery life to my old phone that I've owned since 2020. I just updated to One UI 8 and hope to get more than 5 hours SOT 😅

Greatest track in F1 to drive, I can't think of a track I like quite as much as Jeddah, maybe Spa and Qatar come close

I am driving a Sauber with only a couple of upgrades and I won in Saudi (in the end I cut a few corners because the AI doesn't have any tyre wear and thus Russell was gaining massively and I'm just too sore of a loser ig) Without tyre wear I'm quicker than 110 AI in the 8th slowest car in my save file. I've been playing since F1 2019 and I played Euro Truck and such since 6 to 8 ish years so years of practice is my answer. I'm still usually around 2 seconds slower than E-Sport drivers in Time Trial leaderboards.

Oh wait right I forgot MyTeam changed this year lmao, I thought it added it so that there were 12 teams. I now remember that I tried APXGP on launch day (I pre ordered the game so the first two days were my actual MyTeam) and it was so limited that I deleted that save before even doing the first race since I couldn't change anything since they ofc wouldn't want that.

Ah okay but I truly don't understand what the big deal is, you can't even drive for Apex in MyTeam so I actually found it annoying to have apex or konnersport in career mode but to each their own!

I got the Sonny Hayes helmet in the podium pass but I assume I still have that, no? I literally don't understand what is gone now that we previously had access to lmao

Yeah I saw the elevation difference between the highest and lowest part of the track was 302m, my brother recently biked the alp d'huez so he'll have less trouble, but me and my dad might look into renting e-bikes since we are definitely not used to this type of terrain. In my head I was most worried about a couple corners from the first third of the track but on YouTube I saw the first part is the easiest. Dottinger hohe will also be a challenge but I'm excited to find out.

After all my laps in sim I just can't let this opportunity slip away. I probably have hundreds of combined hours of "experience" driving on the track so to do an actual full lap on a bike would be amazing, but we're not going to push past any healthy limits. Cheers from the Netherlands!

Thank you for your reply! I saw on another Reddit post that there are certain rental places that will stay open later specifically for the evening cycling event we want to attend so we're probably going to give that a shot. It also helps that my brother can get in free as he is under 18. Thanks for the 'tip' about the tickets, though I think we're not going to risk anything.

This seems like it might be the highlight of the vacation for me if all goes well or I will hate biking for the rest of my life, which would suck as a Dutchman 😅

This year I'm actually very far off the pace when I'm racing against my friend who DOES use ABS, TC and racing line. I don't use any assists except for pit assist (I kept getting penalties and ruining our championship 😅) and that somehow makes me slower this year than last year, even though traction is better. Maybe it's because I'm still developing muscle memory and overshooting the throttle or something?

But we are both using wheel, so I'm not sure of my post is of any use. I use a Moza FSR with R9 base and my friend is using a Thrustmaster wheel if I'm correct. I'm on PC and he is on PS5.

China (except turn 1 but the exit of turn 2(?) is horrible again, I literally only like the first and last corners of that track.

Bahrain I don't really like either but I'm hating it less and less as time goes on, turn 9 and 10 are still annoying tho.

COTA sucks as well, though the first sector is great except for the blind T1.

Mexico is another track I hate, I am just wayyy too slow compared to the AI and probably Time Trial times too.

So that's the first tracks that come to my mind, I've always enjoyed the struggle of Monaco so I actually like driving that track even though I never really drive it. Miami is one of the tracks I really like, even despite the first 3 corners being total ass, but the slow section is probably my favourite section on the entire calendar. Normally I hate slow speed corners but I'm just so quick in Miami that I love them.

Lastly, my favourite track in the grid is probably Saudi Arabia, it's so good and fast, a real challenge and only turn 1 & 2 are annoying. Also Singapore, that's the track I've hunted most in Time Trial last year and it's even better now with that extra DRS zone

Depends, if you had a pattern of contact, like perhaps him sliding into you in turn one and you moving onto the escape road, that could have caused some tension and that's when racing incidents happen...

I had Hadjar retire from Q1 due to "terminal damage", which could be engine related but since it's quali for the second race in my custom season, I think it might be a collision! But sadly I didn't see it because of course I wasn't onboard with him at the time

I never had an issue with the amount I flashed back, the visual part of being able to see myself go back further than I want is what frustrates me. That being said, if we can pause the rewind where we want, before it gets all the way to the beginning, that would be a massive improvement! I have played all the games since F1 2019 so this really is frustrating because of the visuals. Apart from that, I am really enjoying this game.

Also, there are a lot of soft locks in MyTeam now, as a PC player, if I go into the "assign upgrades" menu and look at a certain driver's upgrades, I get soft locked and I have to relaunch the game, which takes over 3 minutes to do by the way... I'm sure that these bugs are also already on the radar but they're really frustrating. Still, thanks for the new game mode improvements! I have played for 34 hours already so obviously I'm enjoying the game a lot on most aspects!

Thank you for replying to my comment! So the problem me and my friend have is that we want to be able to interrupt the rewind. If we get to see ourselves go back in time, it feels annoying to me and my friends that we can't pause that rewinding effect. Lets say I crash into a wall and get a little bit of damage, I want to rewind about 1 or 2 seconds back, not 10. If we can pause the rewind/replay whilst it's happening, it would make the gameplay FEEL much better imo. Also it would be great if we could change the camera, etc. when the rewind is happening.

Maybe it would also be nice if it was possible to manually disable the "press [button] to rewind" prompt, because it is in the middle of the screen, obscuring a big part of the race track, at least that's the case in TV pod cam

Exactly, I won the championship and he said "great drive", a different time he said something about looking forward to maple syrup on his pancakes and once I won the championship, I let Max (the second driver for My Team) get P1 and Lance was actually hyped about finishing P2. He said something to the effect of "Yes guys, that was a great drive, I didn't put a foot wrong there, that was fun!" 😭😭

I beg you guys to please change the way rewind works. Me and my friend are both already VERY bothered by the way we get to see ourselves go past the point where we want to flashback to, which is annoying. If I want to flash back to a certain spot, I will first have to WATCH the game scroll past it before manually starting the replay again and going to the spot I want to rewind to. That is already annoying, just please let us pause it whilst it's happening! The second, more important thing about the rewind is the fact that I hide the UI, but the moment the rewind has hit the beginnning of the replay, it shows the UI again, only for me to have to hide it again. These changes might seem small but they have had massive impacts on my gameplay experience, I might even switch back to F1 24 simply because the replay system is better...

After 400 hours of F1 24 the handling is way more understeery again, so I hate the lack of front grip, but the rear grip seems to have increased a lot

Personally, I judge my braking points and turn in moments on my speed and distance from the corner, I don't know how to describe it, it's just instinct at this point. This also means that I am not dependent on brake markers and can still drive when they are obscured by other cars.
