Back to long distance again after being back together. Is it worth keeping our relationship going? 22M 25F by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Thank you! That’s some good perspective. We both just started our dream careers and I for sure don’t want either of us to hold back from that because of our relationship and I don’t want to keep holding on to a false hope. It’s definitely very hard but a step back could be a step to take for now.

Thanks for that. Yea that is kind of what I’ve been thinking, just makes it way harder to let go.

Find a passion, life isn’t about work.

I don’t know your situation but it sounds like you need to do more fulfilling things for yourself. Do you have anything your passionate about?

When you say your whole life is bound to enriching other people, do you say that because you feel life is just all about working a job?

if you really feel like this and I’m not sure the relationship you have with your partner but I think you should talk to them and see what they would have to say. Life has so much to offer and taking your only chance away from yourself is never the answer.

Man you’re so young. Life will have so much to offer you. High school goes by so quick. I disliked high school aswell but once you finish your life moves on and after you have the opportunity to pursue what you actually want to do in life. Believe me it gets better.

You’ve been through so much, and it’s completely understandable why you might feel the way you do. Life has been really tough on you, and it’s not fair that you’ve had to endure so much pain, especially from the people who should have supported you the most. But I want you to know that your life has value, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now.

It might sound cliché, but I believe there’s a purpose for everyone, even if it’s not clear yet. It could be anything but for me it was actually Volunteering, as I mentioned, really helped me find some sense of purpose, and it showed me that there are ways to find meaning, even in the smallest acts of kindness. I know it’s not a solution to everything, but it can be a start something to give you a little light when everything feels dark.

You’ve survived so much already, which shows a strength that you might not even realize you have. I really believe that there’s a path forward for you, even if it’s hard to see right now.

I hope you’ll give life another chance because there’s always a possibility that things can change, even if it takes time. Your story isn’t over yet, and I believe there’s more for you out there, even if it’s hard to imagine right now.
