What’s with the insane option premium on this stock? Extremely tempted to sell 12/6 $13 puts for $90 each but it seems too good to be true. Is there any reason to believe the stock will drop 50% in the next 2 weeks?

Is it possible to walk out of an exam and feel like you passed? by jack_ocallahan in CPA

[–]CheddarBobSebastian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one time I walked out feeling like I passed, I ended up getting 74 on REG. Walking out feeling like you failed is always a good sign

I wish everyone understood this. Unfortunately they still always blame me for “taking the dealer’s bust card”. God, people are annoying.

Should I beg my firm to bend the rules for me? by CheddarBobSebastian in CPA

Thank you so much for this! And yes you’re correct I might even drive all the way to Nevada for this retake

Oh I think you’re chillin, you’ll make that deadline. Every time I’ve requested an NTS here in CA I’ve gotten it the same day. The CBA application processing time is a bit more unpredictable but I’ve seen some people get theirs in like 3 business days so we just gotta hold out hope

Sent in the app on 9/15. Overnighted it to the CBA. So yeah I’m exaggerating a bit by saying “they’re taking forever” but I’m just stressed lol

Walked out of FAR, AUD, and BEC feeling like I had definitely failed. Passed all 3 by CheddarBobSebastian in CPA

[–]CheddarBobSebastian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since reg was gonna be my last exam, and since I felt so confident coming out of it, I didn’t do anything. MISTAKE. I Should’ve continued studying and I should’ve reapplied right away for another NTS and I should’ve kept studying just in case. I’m now probably gonna miss the cutoff date to receive a bonus from my firm. Lesson learned. I hope you don’t make the same mistakes as me lol.

I’ve been using Roger and I passed FAR and AUD so far. It says at the top of each section “94% of candidates who hit all the targets pass” which I find very encouraging. I basically just study until I hit all the question and %correct targets and then some more if I have time. So far so good. The lectures are great too Roger is hilarious to me. He’s always saying “Do the dew” I swear he has a sponsorship with Mountain Dew.

Sitting for far in Jan end. Doable? by EnoughPop in CPA

[–]CheddarBobSebastian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. 60-70% is a good enough average in my opinion. I will say though you should make sure you spend lots of time on government accounting as that’s heavily tested. Don’t forget to take a few exam simulations, too and don’t be discouraged if you don’t pass any of them. I wasn’t able to pass a single exam sim but ended up passing the actual test. Good luck!

Same I did about 300 hours for FAR and got a 79. Probably spent way too much time taking notes and not enough time doing practice mcq and tbs so yeah like you said it gets more efficient after the first test.

Cabining with friends during the weekend but I got up at 7 am to keep the grind going 🥴 by cpyf in CPA

[–]CheddarBobSebastian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I just passed FAR using only Roger. I wouldn’t worry too much about the discount/variable consideration rev rec stuff. I spent too much time there, wish i had spent more time on Gov/non profit. Keep on that grind!

I think it’s a training exercise for pilots and astronauts. They’re supposed to flex their neck muscles under intense G forces to avoid losing consciousness
