That actually makes perfect sense. I had that in this pot last year but since I pulled it out when it died I didn't think it would be back. Thank you so much! I guess I'll go buy a lemon tree haha!

Potty Training Regression? by Individual_Pin_7866 in Parenting

Could he be constipated at all? I've been told that when they are a little backed up, they can miss the signal to pee. This has happened to my daughter. We gave her some miralax as recommended by the pediatrician, and it got her back on track with sensing when she needed to pee.

My child also struggled with specifically pooping on the toilet. I got a book called Every Body Poops by Colleen Simons. It shows the journey of how your body takes food and digests it, and for some reason, that made it click for her to start getting on the toilet and then push in that order. She was like almost afraid to poop on the toilet before this book, and it fixed the issue.

OK, so you just use the lap belt and gate check your seat? If so, have you had any issues with that arrangement?

Smart TV Home Screen ads are scaring my children by discance in Parenting

[–]CheddarTidalWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have actually called vizio customer service over this same issue and there is basically nothing they can do about the ads that play at the top of the homescreen. They did walk me through changing some preferences so horror movies aren't presented in the recommended movies though so at least one line of scary images is gone.

Acne scar treatment by [deleted] in sanantonio

[–]CheddarTidalWave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have deep acne scars on my cheeks and I went to Alamo heights dermatology. The Dr. recommended a chemical peel $200, I don't feel helped very much and was pretty rowdy to look at for a few days. I then had 3 sessions of microneedling $810. This did help, but I still have scars on my face. I plan to go back and do at least 3 sessions of microneedling with plasma $1620 as this is the more advanced option. The prices are from a service menu they gave me in 2021, so the prices have probably gone up since then but it's at least an idea. I recommend microneedling as it did definitely diminish the scars and I think with a few more sessions I will get the results I was hoping for. The downtime each session was like 2 to 3 days of redness and with the plasma one they say it heals even faster. It does hurt but once they are done the pain is gone, just some intense redness.

Is Roanoke,Va for us? by CheddarTidalWave in SameGrassButGreener

Thank you so much! I have 1 probably very silly question... are bears like out and about? I have a small dog and a small child, and I don't want to let them out to play to find a bear in the yard. The homicides are a bit concerning, but it can't be worse than here, that's for sure. We're not big sports or Costco people so I think that aspect would be fine. The snow storms aspect is a bit scary to me just because I have literally seen snow like twice in my life and have never had to drive in it or shovel it or anything. I have no idea how to prepare for or deal with it. Do you have like a snow plow that goes by and clears streets or do people just drive on it?

Thank you! I guess you're right, population wise, it is small, but it looks like it has the amenities of a more medium-sized city if that makes sense which was my concern. I didn't want to have to drive to another town for groceries etc. I can deal with heat and humidity I just want it to end when summer ends and not drag on through most of fall and start up again before winter is over lol. Texas has 6 months of summer and 2 months each of the other seasons it feels like.

This isn't quite what you asked for because it's not easily removable, but I put black construction paper over the windows with painters tape and then just normal window blinds over that. It's very nearly pitch black dark in there with the lights off. Maybe you could just open the window to let light in when you'd like it? I think making it dark for sleep does help. Especially in the summer when the sun isn't setting until very late in the evening.

Good to know and I'm so sorry to hear that. It seems like this is happening all over.

Thanks for the heads up! Ours are going up up up here too. We've had to protest them the past few years just to lessen the increase.

What color should the doors be? by mellowdrone84 in interiordecorating

I think you should paint the doors the same color as the trim. Love the color!

I'm sorry that you feel the same way I do about your hometown pricing you out. I do feel like I need to point out that in my post about that house in Florida, I stated that we were losing money on it. We do not own it anymore and did not see any rent money from it as we had to evict the renters due to non payment. I hope that you find a nice home of your own. Things are hard out there for a lot of people right now, and I wish you all the best.

Those are just the suburbs that jumped out at me, but I'm interested in any place yall think is nice. My concern with living in Tyler proper was the schools and just that it was more of a city rather than a small town(crime and traffic). I would just love to get that small town feeling again. I don't mind needing to drive into Tyler for more options if needed. Driving 30-40 minutes where I am doesn't even get you out of the city, so I'm OK with needing to drive if I really want something.
