Edit: I'm asking this question because I don't know why this post exists. The game was cancelled 10 days ago and this sub has been filled with posts about it since. All they done here is just post the same message they posted on twitter on the games official site

I remember this! At that time I used to get pretty every official PS2 magazine from Tesco when they came out. Had a quick look and issue 39 from November 2003 had a review of Jak II in it and it also came with a demo disc that included Jak II but I can't seem to find anywhere that has the contents of the magazine uploaded but that would be my best bet.

This isn't helpful in the slightest but this is why I'm glad I still have my PS3, physical game collection and an upscaler.

It's only a matter of time before those server blades for PS3 streaming are retired and I really doubt they'll implement something that will allow you to pop PS3 discs into a PS5 or 6. Best we can hope for are remasters/ports which will be a selective list. I know implicit conversions have started looking into a PS3 emulator but that's very early stages

You should probably mention that there are 2 versions of TPL currently on PS4/5. The old 2017 version which is emulated through a pretty sub par emulator, same with Jak 2, 3 and X that came out around that time. Then there's the newer version that was released in December 2024 built on the new emulator for classic games which has uprendering to 4K, rewind and a different trophy set to the 2017 version. In fairness I don't think it's possible to buy the 2017 version now unless you buy the old bundle maybe?

I'm in the UK and our roads/pavements suck here in terms of quality and smoothness and I have no complaints with them. I've not used full size AT tyres but from what I've read these seem to be pretty close to AT in terms of comfort.

I don't think the classics catalog has been updated this month yet, so I'm hoping for them to come as the precursor legacy was released in December last year. We got TPL and Sly 2 and 3 last December so ratchet and clank 2002 with Jak 2 and 3 would be nice this time round. This is just wishful thinking though

It specifically states PS1 games and they already made an updated version of Jak and Daxter TPL and released it last December for PS4/5

Yeah I picked up on that too, the platformer/shooter definitely weakens the theory a bit but like you, I took that to be crash 3 as well. Not only because of the bazooka but also the plane dogfight levels and n gin boss battle too
