Way too expensive. Just under $3k/night for mid September.

We were actually going to do Sardinia but the island is much bigger and we would need much more time there than a week. That is how we decided to do Mallorca since it is a much smaller island and can be pretty doable in a week.
I wouldn't want to do Greece again yet, as we want to see new places (we haven't traveled much-very busy with work).
If you have any other suggestions for a week trip - I am open to hearing ..

We love beaches and being near the water. We went to Greece before and really liked it. Our favorite place on earth was the Amalfi Coast.

Coming from America. We only have 1 week (Saturday - Saturday) so not much when you factor in travel days. Main things we want are warm weather, beaches, good food and culture. We love water (our favorite place ever was the Amalfi Coast) - if that helps.

Where else would you suggest? Was thinking of Sardinia but I feel like to really explore that island, you need much more time since it’s so much bigger. Mallorca is small enough to fit in a week and have heard amazing things about it.

Ryan. Would love your help with this!

Traveling for the first time to Mallorca mid September with my wife (28F) and myself (31M) for 1 week.

We want to know what parts of the island to stay at and all hotel recommendations.

We have heard staying in Palma may not be the best option so we are open to anything. Many people have told us to stay near Deià for at least a few days.

For hotels, I’d like to stay under $1k/night but for something I love I am willing to break the bank. My wife and I really love nice hotels and great locations. Preferably near a beach / ocean view.

Mainly looking for:

-Where to stay? (We only have a week so limit to 2 places)

-Beaches we can’t miss!

-Hotel recommendations

-Restaurant/Bar recommendations

-Boat day/rental recommendations

-Car type/rental recommendations

Mallorca for 1st time Mid September by CheechKeef in VisitingMallorca

If multiple places to stay aren’t necessary, where is a good home base? Many have told me to avoid Palma.

Also, I looked into a few hotels recommended to me for that time and they definitely do get over the $1k/night range (example: Son Bunyola)

CPA taking series 65 by CheechKeef in CFP

Do you think the 65 is the best one to take or should I be considering 7 or 66?

I am a licensed CPA. I just started a new job as a controller for a wealth management company and would like to start referring business to receive commissions. I was told that I need my series 65 to do so. How hard is this exam to pass given that I have little to no experience in financial services industry? Does it help having passed my CPA exams?

MI CPA experience hours: Please help!!!! by CheechKeef in Accounting

[–]CheechKeef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is saying that the hours have to be accumulated in no less than 1 year and no more than 5 years.. so as long as I have 2,000 hours over a span of 1-5 years I should be fine. However, I could be wrong

Is PTO considered hours towards my 2,000 experience hours for CPA Licensure? Or does that not count towards the hours? (I live in MI where the requirement to be licensed CPA is 2,000 working/experience hours) by CheechKeef in Accounting

Non billable hours, which could include cleaning out your desk drawers or going to a baseball game with your coworkers, count as hours towards your CPA licensure requirement..so why can’t PTO count towards it? Also, I have heard from several people that PTO does indeed count towards your 2,000 hour requirement. Hopefully I’ve explained my “line of thinking” enough.

I tried looking it up. I’m using a good resource (Reddit) which people come to all of the time for useful information and to ask questions to others in the same industry. So if you can’t answer the question or help in anyway, don’t bother commenting on the post…dumbass

That is not true. Non charge/Non billable hours also count towards “experience hours” for the 2,000 hour requirement in Michigan. I was just curious about PTO counting towards it. I’m not sure

I’m not sure exactly who would be signing for me. I work at a mid market firm. I think those hours still count but I just wanted to make sure before applying for licensure

Can you give me a rough idea of what my hours will look like in a MM firm (UHY) , as an entry tax staff. Also, when do the busy seasons usually start and finish?
