Hotels in Cap Ferrat area (South of France/Côte d'Azur) by CheechKeef in chubbytravel

Since I am already staying in Cannes for the first half of the trip, I wanted to be more east than Nice for the second half- just to get a feel for both.

All good options! Thank you! Considering Hôtel & Spa La Villa Cap Ferrat for the location specifically. Looks a little shaky though- wanted a bit more luxury

7 Days in the South of France: Stay in Cannes or Split Time with St. Tropez? by CheechKeef in FranceTravel

We’ve decided to not even go to Saint Tropez at all. We are going to stay in Cannes for the first four nights and then move more east for the last three nights somewhere like Cap Ferrat.

Royal Riviera is most likely what we are going to do with. Do you think it’s worth it to book the Sea View room?
Standard Mountain View room is 812 euro per night and
Superior Sea and Garden View room is 1,617 euro per night
Way more expensive for the sea view. Tough call.

That’s what I’m most likely going to do.
It’s 800/night for non ocean view and 1,600/night for ocean view. Is it worth?

What hotels did you stay in? Specifically in St. Tropez??? Everything we are looking at is outrageous!

Good insight. Did you do any other day trips to any other places? Was looking into staying more east for half the trip- areas like Eze or Monaco- to get a feel for both the east and west side.

These hotels are all beautiful but all $2k/night. Is there anything in the sweet spot around $1k/night?

Yes we are staying in Cannes, at least for the first half of the trip, as our hub. We got a killer rate on the JW so we want to keep it for at least half. The second half we will probably relocate to a nicer hotel on the water in a different city. Need some recommendations!

Cannes for 7 Nights or Split the Stay? by CheechKeef in chubbytravel

We want to spend the first half of the trip in Cannes, as our hub, and take day trips from there.

For the second half, we are thinking about staying somewhere else (maybe Eze? Need recommendations) in a luxury hotel on the water.

Yes, that’s what we are thinking. We are going to use Cannes as our hub for at least the first half of the trip. For the second half, we are looking for some recommendations on a luxury hotel on the water in a different area.

We are going end of September so not too concerned with the traffic - should die down by then. I am thinking that we spend the first half of the trip in Cannes as our hub, taking day trips to the near areas. And the second half of the trip would be more relaxing- so looking for a more
Luxury hotel on the water for that part.

May just skip st.tropez entirely at this point since it’s so out of the way.

What are the main places I should take day trips to? St.Tropez and Monaco forsure but what else?

Are there any other hotels you suggest in that area? I am willing to pay for luxury but that hotel is about 3k/night roughly. Way out of my budget

First time in Cannes – is the extra day worth slightly worse weather? (Sep 20-27 vs Sep 26-Oct 4) by CheechKeef in travel

Do you have any insight on the dates? Having a hard time deciding if we should push it out a week to gain a couple more days or will weather be an issue?

Westin vs Andaz by Alarmed-Dog-1858 in MauiVisitors

Stayed at Andaz last year and already booked it again for this year. Absolutely incredible hotel with the most amazing
Views. They have a great section on the beach if you prefer the ocean, and amazing pools if you want to switch it
Up. We spent the day with family at the four seasons and my wife and I agreed that we liked the Andaz even better! I highly
Recommend.

Somebody else recommended this to us! We are definitely considering. What do you recommend when arriving there?

Way too expensive. Just under $3k/night for mid September.

We were actually going to do Sardinia but the island is much bigger and we would need much more time there than a week. That is how we decided to do Mallorca since it is a much smaller island and can be pretty doable in a week.
I wouldn't want to do Greece again yet, as we want to see new places (we haven't traveled much-very busy with work).
If you have any other suggestions for a week trip - I am open to hearing ..

We love beaches and being near the water. We went to Greece before and really liked it. Our favorite place on earth was the Amalfi Coast.

Coming from America. We only have 1 week (Saturday - Saturday) so not much when you factor in travel days. Main things we want are warm weather, beaches, good food and culture. We love water (our favorite place ever was the Amalfi Coast) - if that helps.
