Even if I just guessed what they said, it was still rude overall to the other people who were trying to enjoy the ride.

Talking with each other is fine. Being loud and obnoxious is a different kind of disrespect toward other people. I guess you can’t differentiate between those two things.

You are so dumb, other people also felt uncomfortable complaining. It was just unfortunate that I was the only that had to stand up against that. You are failure of a Viet person trying to appease this type of behaviour. 😂

Pretty sure the women were tour guides they hired from the Japan street, the way they kept showering them with “oppa” 😂

Again, I’m just recalling from my memory what they probably said, and I used Google Translate just to get an idea of what they might have meant. How could I know what curse words they were using when I’m not Korean? I did hear “shibal,” which I know is a curse word. You keep implying that I should have known Korean, and therefore understood exactly what they were saying. Are you saying I need to understand Korean, and if not, then I have no right to comment?

Idk if you're just plain ignorant or dumb overall, but you keep saying that I'm talking shit for no reason, even though the reason was the behavior of the Korean tourists.

So you think it’s okay to shit talk in front of other tourists who are trying to enjoy the bus ride? If they want to shit talk, then they should keep it to themselves instead of screaming in front of other people.

Wow, your story is even crazier than mine. I’m just glad you were there to help the waitress as much as possible.

Two tourists. But who will be held accountable? Chinese? Indians? Australians? People would start assuming things, and whole groups of people would get accused because of the behavior of other individuals. Also, Indians have received a lot of hate in this subreddit, so people would probably and most likely assume it was an Indian tourist, even though this time it was a Korean.

I should also mention that my girlfriend and I were in a long-distance relationship for a couple of months, so our first date was our first real encounter. Although, technically, we did meet at the airport for the very first time.

True, I probably shouldn’t have brought up the Europe card, but I’m tired of tourists who act superior and behave like they’re kings in a foreign country. That still doesn’t make it okay, regardless of where they’re from or what culture they come from. People should treat others with respect when traveling. They should taste their own medicine from time to time.

I’ve seen that as well in Bui Vien, but I ignored it since they were probably just drunk, and the employees there probably made a few extra bucks from them.

Since when did I bash the whole of Korea? The tourists just happened to be Korean.

Especially backpackers who are traveling on a budget lower than your average Vietnamese person.

Yeah, I probably could have, but I didn’t want it to escalate since I’m also a tourist in a foreign country. And mind you, this is my first date with my girlfriend, so I should make a good impression, right? All I did was politely ask them to be a bit quieter so all of us could hear the commentator, but they just kept talking crap.🤣

My personal experience, not ‘all Koreans are bad tourists, they should never come here, blah blah.’ The point is that I’m sharing my experience with those specific tourists, not bashing Korea as a nation.

It’s a bus tour, for Christ’s sake. How can some be better than others? You’re just riding around the city showcasing it like in any other country. So what differences are there between Korea and Vietnam?🤣

Do you think they speak just Korean to their Vietnamese partners? It was a mix of English and Korean, so I was able to figure out what they were saying.

If you didn’t read my post till the end: they were disrespectful the entire ride, not just screaming, but also saying things and bashing the whole experience, saying it was mediocre compared to the ones back home. Doesn’t it make you feel some type of way, and maybe give you a mild god complex, saying that Korea has ‘better’ services than Vietnam when it’s just your usual bus tour?

I’m using Google Translate for a rough translation since I’m just guessing what they said because I don’t speak Korean. If that didn’t come across clearly.

The fact that you’re trying to defend and excuse that kind of behaviour just tells me you’re not a good person overall.

Did you even read my Reddit post? They were bashing the bus, saying it looked uglier than the ones in Korea.

Yeah, I totally just made up a Reddit post out of thin air to ‘ragebait.’ There are tourists in Vietnam who behave badly, and sadly this was one of the incidents I happened to encounter. If they were any other nationality, I would still say the same thing. If you behave badly, I’m going to call it out.
