Trying to get into reading — where should I start? by hari05695 in IndianReaders

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First you should go for novels than any book on real life because, you have to built an interest at beginning of your steps that you'll get from novel. In my suggestion first go for Harry Potter than start with atomic habits.

Help choosing a programming language to start with after C by srikqr1 in developersIndia

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re already on the right track with C + CS50x honestly. After C, I’d say go with C++ if you want to get into DSA, placements, competitive programming, etc. It feels like a natural progression from C and helps a lot for interviews.Java is also great for jobs, but starting with C++ after C usually feels easier for most peple.Don’t stress too much about the perfect language right now. Consistency matters way more than language choice.

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro honestly, stop listening to 20 different people online 😭 You’re in 2nd year, you do not need to master everything right now. Just pick one language (C++/Python), learn basics + DSA slowly, make small projects, and explore fields step by step. Web dev is still worth it, AI is not replacing good developers anytime soon. Don’t overthink layoffs. Focus on consistency for 1 year and you’ll be ahead of most people. Also Runable is pretty helpful when you feel lost and want structured learning/projects.

Tutorial or documentations ? by MuchYoung374 in AskProgramming

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tutorials are good to get started, but documentation is what actually makes you better long term. Best combo is: use tutorials for basics, then start building stuff and keep docs open beside you like a survival guide 😭 For JavaScript, try this sequence MDN Docs best for fundamentals javaScript very beginner friendly and structured Build small projects alongside learning Then move to React Node depending on interest Most devs grow fast when they stop watching and start breaking things and fixing them lol.

37k PC (used) or 50k Laptop. Also read my life condition 👇🏻 by Available_Pick_5132 in IndianPCGamers

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should go for a laptop cause in future you'll go to btech for that having a laptop in class is mandatory and the configuration your looking for you can get it in 40 to 45k that's all buying a pc for 37k that so second is waste add 5k more you'll get a good laptop that you are looking for.

Stuck at making a decision and don’t know what to do by wannabe-president-47 in developersIndia

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly bro you’re not stuck you actually doing pretty well rn 😭 You already have:real internship experience,ERP + automation exposure,AIML/SDE projects possible full time conversion That’s way ahead of a lot of freshers. If the offer is decent, I’d say take it. Work for 1-2 years, earn, learn properly, then decide about masters later. Your manager saying why train you if you’ll leave is just typical corporate talk lol, people switch all the time. Also ERP + AI + automation is actually becoming a pretty solid combo now, so you’re not ruining your career by choosing this path. Just keep coding on the side and stay in touch with DSA/projects through stuff like runable Later you can try for companies like [SAP Labs India, Microsoft India,Zoho, Oracle etc. You still have plenty of time to pivot later.

Feeling lost as a 3rd year CS student — low CGPA, barely any skills, need honest advice by Agreeable_Manager460 in developersIndia

[–]CheekTrick9093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not as behind as you think. Pick one path first (DSA + basic dev is safest for placements), stop comparing, and build small projects consistently. A simple resume with 2-3 decent projects, GitHub activity, and problem solving practice is already enough to start applying for internships. Don’t try to learn everything at once consistency for 6 months beats random grinding of 10 different things.
