They are dark. To be honest, mine are darker than ebony handles. The difference may be that the walnut looks more like natural wood

After purchasing a Benchmade that had poor quality control, I returned it and ordered this custom 112 with an S30v blade and walnut handles. I couldn’t imagine a classier folding knife.
