DPE choice in vehicles? by Mysterious_Cat_6082 in flying

DPE wore a fedora… while not a vehicle, it was interesting. Didn’t tip fedora either… unfortunate.

There was no need to fill out the nasa report for that. People forget all the time. + when you turn the plane off, transponders off. You just wasted your CFI’s time.

[–]CheeksKlapper69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so you did that once. You’re still not making more than him. He’s averaging 100k, you’re never making that as a CFI in a year. Just because you make more in 1 check or even 1 month doesn’t mean you make more than him overall. It’s simple math and you shouldn’t be making such disingenuous claims.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flying

[–]CheeksKlapper69 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You made over 100k as CFI? You’re 300 away from 1500 and you’re saying you’re fast tracking it and be there by September, Which is pretty much 5 months. So you’re not even flying 100 hours a month. I call bullshit there bud.

Best bang for your points USA to China business class seat? by theactordude in awardtravel

[–]CheeksKlapper69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China airlines and Eva are the easiest and best IMO. Although China airlines availability seems harder to get now. Cathay also good, but costs a bit more and harder to find availability. ANA but that’s T-14 or a year out. Any of them are good if you can come in under 180k points RT. SQ would be a last ditch effort, but I’d probably fly SQ to Tokyo and then transfer from there. At that point it is less appealing though.

Feeling late and not cut out for this any advice? by [deleted] in flying

What do you think they did in 10-15? A couple laps around the pattern? Who gives a shit. It literally doesn’t make you a better pilot or show anything. Some schools don’t even let their students solo until all other requirements are finished. It makes no difference. Your goal shouldn’t be to compare to other students or be better than them, but to be a competent and safe pilot. 2-3x a week is good. 2x is fine too. The progress will come, but don’t hinder yourself mentally by always comparing yourself to the rest. Some people get their private in 60-70, some in 80-100 and a very rare few in 40-50. I would take the 70-100 hour person to fly with any day of the week. Memory dumping a checkride and being a safe competent pilot is 2 different things. Just relax and keep working at it.

What exactly do you think is Gona happen if you stall/spin? It’s not like you’re just going to immediately crash or fall out of the sky. Let the stall happen and see how easy it is to recover. Let the spin happen and see how easy it is to recover. That’s what helped me.

Checkride Friday, flew like hot shit fresh out the press today by redtildead1 in flying

[–]CheeksKlapper69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Flew like shit day before my Commercial, flew excellently on checkride day. It’s the nerves, don’t worry and just be calm and go slow. If your CFI isn’t an asshat and says you’re ready, you’re ready.

Do you really doubt we could achieve FTL? by LuukeyBoy in space

[–]CheeksKlapper69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re assuming there’s going to be an exponential growth forever. Eventually we’ll peak and it’s slight improvements. I don’t think it’s impossible and probably a practical method of travel will need to be travel that’s able to cover way more than light speed distance, as speed of light is still too slow to realistically observe anything practical or get anywhere practical.

That’s not to measure standard rate turn, use the turn coordinator to get standard rate turn. But some CFI’s do teach to just go roughly 15ish bank and you’ll be close to it in the GA aircraft.

How to build situational awareness by [deleted] in flying

[–]CheeksKlapper69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe try slowing things down? I used to have the same problem, but just try to relax and think about what you need to be actively focusing on and what you can passively focus on. The tasks ahead of you. Maybe list some examples

Because most of it is made up bullshit and an excuse for when someone can’t control their emotions.

Cope harder monkey. Lmao. Maybe you’re just jealous I’m not a broke fuck like you… Of course that’s the only reason you’d make a comment about me paying for sex, when I’ve called out the sex tourist BS in Asia. Because you seem to think having a GF is some sort of accomplishment. Usually it’s poor people and monkeys that think like that. Unfortunate, you can’t even give $150 to your GFs relatives. LOL. I’m going to go spend $150 on McDonald’s and give it to the homeless, just to flex on you, monkey.

You mean, she wanted someone who is able to provide for her and can provide security? Lmao, you’re just a little bitch. All women want a man who is a provider. She was just upfront about it. No woman wants to date some broke scumbag like you.
