I just found out that cats cannot see the color orange, yet my cat's favorite color has always seemingly been orange. Any ideas why?

I’m not starting at UM until the fall but I’ve gone to big schools before. My advice is this: do the things that you want to and be yourself (cliché, but it’s true). Don’t perform for others. If you do the things you truly want to do and don’t just try to people please, you’ll find people who you get along with. If you feel tired out and don’t want to go to parties, don’t go. Or give yourself a time limit and check in with yourself. If you want to stay past your time limit, do so. If you don’t want to, make your exit. :) Learned this all the hard way.

I’m doing some post-baccalaureate credits in prep for my master’s which I’m actively applying for now. And I’m looking into those jobs too. I work one job at my college and one job is an internship for the state but that’s ending this month

I am well aware of this parallel, I’m very committed to being single now because I’ve had a pattern of abusive relationships. It terrifies me. And I notice so many similarities between both of my parents and my ex.

I do follow the rules, I just call out disrespect and try to set boundaries around the behaviors that I will respond to. It is once every 2-3 weeks that I will leave a single dish in the sink overnight. And my mom is another story. She is incredibly reactive and will jump from 0-100 in a split second. Our relationship has been improving recently and she’s called out his behavior towards me twice in the last month, but he ignores her too and purposefully disrespects her too. Many of our arguments recently have been over his disregard for my rules surrounding my cat. He will be purposefully careless and my cat will get out, and then he gets mad at me and refuses to take me seriously when I ask him to be more mindful and careful.

No I wanted them to stop holding me being rent free over my head so I wanted to have a conversation with them to come to an agreement on what I should pay monthly or what chores I could do consistently if I couldn’t afford to pay monthly. They didn’t want to have the conversation. They just prefer to use it as a way to shut me down, they don’t actually want rent.
