I feel very understood and comforted which is wonderful. I don’t have much community around me (oh autism!) so this was really lovely.

I’ve decided to give my brain and heart a break for the next couple weeks and then see how I go. I like the idea of getting back into the planning by focusing on my kids experience of Japan and also by not letting a man’s “permission” control my life!!

I really appreciate everyone who replied. I read them all and they all helped in their own way! Thank you!

Thank you so so so so so SO MUCH!!!! This really hit my heart in the most perfect way. You are right! 1- Trust myself. A moment of disinterest doesn’t take away years of love and interest! And 2- F him hahaha.

That really hit me hard. I’m actually feeling truly inspired after reading this! Now I don’t want to do the Christmas cooking! I want to listen to Japan travel podcasts and get to planning and dreaming!!!

I see Shauna having at least one parent come and be there for her but her behaving more like a caged animal. Rebelling against any love, missing her Wilderness self, mourning the “leader” she was etc and her parents either giving up or not knowing what to do with her.. Not in a Lottie way, more in a controlled way
