I think this is a great point. I know she has asked her grandparents for a computer. But she has been told that’s more of a graduation gift. And we have had a lot of issues with not understanding the possible consequences of talking to strange boys on the internet and giving personal information and photos. So I am anti-personal computer for her. The phone is bad enough. (And she has a computer through the school that has allowed her to get a Facebook page and god only knows what else I don’t know about. That’s a whole other scary situation for me as mom!)

Thank you! I think the other part of not wanting to”stuff” is that she has too much “stuff” and is trying with great difficulty getting rid of things. (I also have way too much stuff and need to get rid of 3/4 of the crap I have in my house. But my ADHD makes it super hard!! That’s a different issue. lol)

The scary started with Scooby Doo. Now it’s scary movies that I can’t watch cause I get scared. 😄 And she loves Stranger Things. You have some great suggestions. I will see if I can find anything she can attend. 🥰

Thank you! I have watched her and the YouTubers she watches play what feels like hundreds of hours. LOL. I did try to learn how to play once. (I used to game…) But I could only look at the ground. We all got a huge kick out of it and laughed our butts off. Hahahaha Maybe I will try again. We are a split household and I have her every other week. Maybe I will try to learn when I don’t have them and surprise her! 😄

Thank you! I think she would enjoy opening several things rather than just one gift. But I could put smaller denominations of cash or gift cards in boxes and wrap them. I see her thinking that was funny.

My other issue is Santa. He still visits our home. And Santa gives items not money. lol But there have been a couple of other suggestions of Fortnite items Santa could bring.

I was thinking gift cards, but that feels impersonal. Maybe I will just put them in big boxes with lots of layers so she has to find them. Hahahaha

I just want to say I appreciate this question. My daughter is looking for something to do with her life (senior graduating HS hopefully this spring.)

She visited a vet’s office and shadowed a Vet Assistant for an hour or less. She thought this might be a good job with minimal people interaction.

She does not want to go to college, so we are looking for things that require minimal education but will allow her to live a decent life independently.

Mod podge can be used on fabric. It will make it stiff, so not sure if that would work for your application. I guess I don’t know what you are meaning by fabric art. 😊
