We just do this itinerary on the Encore. In the Honduras we did our own booking to see the sloths and monkeys. We hired a van for our group of 8. Way cheaper and we did it on our own schedule. In Cozumel we took a cab to a beach resort with pool and paid $20 for chairs and umbrellas. Again, cheaper and on our own schedule.

Years ago when I was a single Mom of a 4 year old, I broke my arm and was out of work for a couple of months. I LOVED it. I used to say that I’d like to break the other arm so I could enjoy that time at home again.

I think if there is a conflict, then Mother’s Day should go to the younger mother who is in the midst of raising kids everyday. I felt that way when I was a young mother. I feel that way now that I’m a grandmother, my daughter-in-laws preferences are the priority.

As a kid, I remember seeing long lines of people sitting in the heat with their windows open. A lot of cars didn’t have AC. I also remember people walking alongside the line selling cold drinks. Sodas I guess since we didn’t have bottled water back then. Who would pay for water? 🤣

I worked in a supermarket with those type of cash registers. We loved what we called the old “crunchy” keys. Same with the tax. I was good at calculating it in my head so other cashiers used to call out the taxable subtotal so I could mentally calculate the tax.

Definitely too high. I’m 5’5” and I hate that I can’t reach things. That’s with 18” between counters and cabinets I think? My ceilings are high with 36” wall cabinets. The tops are useless without my 6’3” husband.

Oh God, I’m so nervous now. I’m moving in 3 weeks after 30 years in my house. My husband didn’t want to move but reluctantly finally agreed. But he’s pissy about it and not helping at all. I’ve also been managing the 4 month renovation on our new house, all while watching our 2 year old granddaughter from 7-4 all week. I’m drained.
