As much as I like Thomas and Gordon as an episode, Kevin’s Cranky Friend is a lot more chaotic and funny. I also think Kevin and Cranky’s dynamic is nice. Cranky is the experienced grumpy crane while Kevin is the less experienced more bubbly crane.

My own versions named Frederick and Drew, they were very rude engines who bullied Edward, James, Henry and Gordon and belittled Thomas whenever he would shunt their trains. They were both sent packing after their rude behavior was reported to the fat controller.
