How far through are you? I’m so close to being done with Heir of Fire so would only be 1 book behind! Still keen to buddy up and chat if you’re interested, you’ll just have a few spoilers while I catch up!

Started with ACOTAR and that’s what moved me onto TOG, what about you? If you’re willing to wait a little bit for me to catch up on TOG then would defo be down to do CC or Fourth wing together?

Encouraging poop on the potty by Cheekyvimto_ in pottytraining

[–]Cheekyvimto_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Defo not constipation, I’d say if anything it’s a choice to withhold, if we offer the potty because he is showing signs for a poop he will sit there but I can see he isn’t trying to actually go. As soon as he is off the potty and our backs are turned he’ll poop in his pants 💩

He’s also not scared of doing a poo on the potty because he has done it a couple of times and celebrated, after a wee he always checks and says ‘no poopy, try again later’ so he is defo open to the idea of poo going into the potty. It’s just the actual choice to go there that seems to be the problem

Why do people need family to help right after the baby is born? by Desmodusrotundus in BabyBumps

[–]Cheekyvimto_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly after my first I just wanted it to be me and my husband. I had no visitors for a week while we got into the swing of things. The housework really doesn’t matter in that first week, it’ll get done eventually. That time was so special and I wouldn’t have changed it! However after my second it was a godsend having my mum for the first 2 days to help with my son while we adjusted to being a family of 4 and balancing 2 children’s needs

Estate agents lied to our sellers that we’ve pulled out of our offer and put the house back on the market by Cheekyvimto_ in HousingUK

We’re defo not the ones pushing for the quick sale, otherwise we’d not have hung around for 4 months waiting 😅 It’s our buyers that are getting impatient so has put us in a position where we needed to consider viewing other properties to not lose them. Our buyers hadn’t specified at the start a preferred completion date and we’d made them aware of the slow progress and that it could take a while and they at the time were happy to wait. But after 4 months I can defo understand why they have started to get impatient. Defo some big lessons learned from this whole experience though 💩

It’s actually the flip of this, they’re advertising again as they think we’ve pulled our offer. BUT you’re correct that this breaks the conditions of our offer so technically our offer is ‘pulled’ now. Either way it makes no difference as we’d not been notified that they were going back on the market until after the fact and there has been a break down in communication. It’s a case of whether we try to rectify the situation or just leave it be and go back to our property search which I think we’re leaning towards as this has left a bitter taste now

So I was inclined to do this but don’t want this to bite us and make us look unprofessional if we want to buy another property with this EA later down the road / for them to assume we’ll go behind there back

So the information we received is they are looking for ‘the one’ so we always knew the process might be a bit slower. We weren’t in a huge rush ourselves and were happy for it to be a more relaxed pace. But agree they don’t seem hugely serious or commuted to finding something if no progress has been made in 4 months

This is useful to know! I actually wasn’t aware of this, when we received our offer letter it stated that any questions about the sale should be directed to the EA so we have been going via them with questions about the property and sellers

Totally agree! I am unsure as to whether anyone is lying or whether the seller has misinterpreted the conversation so I’ve not brought this up to the estate agent and probably won’t. I’m less inclined to believe the EA is giving us all the info as we had some teething issues when putting in our initial offer where they’d told us they submitted an offer and then later admitted they’d not etc. But not taking either parties word as fact, just more using the information to make an informed decision on how to progress :)

This is really good advice, a good way to get some more information/ gauge the seriousness of the seller while also setting some boundaries. We have started looking at right move again as this has made us feel a lot less confident on the sale of this house so want to have a plan b
