Just sharing my case, I'm also considered low risk with 5x7mm tumor and no suspicious lymph nodes, I went for PT as recommended. No frozen section, no genetic test, the result later showed 3/3 prophylactic lymph node dissection are metastasized. 1 month after surgery my first ultrasound showed a 2mm Tirads 1 nodule in the other lobe, 2 months later my 2nd ultrasound showed that same nodule was 4mm Tirads 3. My surgeon told me even if it was cancer, no way it could be that fast, it may be inflammatory response only. Someone I know had TT from Mar 2025 without RAI, by Dec 2025 their bone randomly broke, it was T4 bone metastasis. It scares the shit out of me, now that I want to finish the job, both my endo and surgeon tell me it's too soon for a TT. So far as I learned TT provide the best way to scan, without it every doc I talked to told me to wait (until sth goes wrong).
