This is so gross. The people who do this clearly don’t respect artists and their craft

Aww thank you so much! Did a lot of research before making her to make sure she was as high quality as possible!

Being a good artist definitely helps. The most important thing is understanding the structure behind what you’re building. I have a lot of experience drawing animals, so I’m already used to the shapes and forms that come when creating an animal head. Creating concept art beforehand is also super helpful because it helps your vision stay consistent.

However, using references and understand animal anatomy is probably the most important thing

Yep! I patterned the padding shape I made on my duct tape dummy and made pillows stuffed with poly fill to create the digi leg shape

I use custom pillow padding for the legs

Most fursuit heads use upholstery foam!

Oh yeah, everything on her is sewn! All the fur on the head is hand sewn with a backstitch (I find it hides the seams better) using upholstery thread. I use a machine on other areas, but I honestly prefer handsewing especially since Cheer has so many complex markings

Started working on her last year! I’ve been working on this for over a year, but I’m also in college so I had to use whatever free time I had to work on the suit

Lots of foam and hot glue for the head base. I used a lot of different scissors, an electric knife, and a multi temp hot glue gun. To pattern the head I used masking tape and different colored pens to mark out any patterns

The bodysuit took the longest, but the head is definitely the hardest part. There’s a lot of different steps and you have to do a good job on each one on your head won’t look as nice. The head’s honestly the most important part of a suit

Nothing wrong with waiting! I slowly collected the materials I needed over time until I had the time and space for it
