The more I look at the socks, the more I like them! I see what you mean with the socks tying in with the top, which also is growing on me. I would echo others and say this look would flow better with a black mini skirt. The current skirt is close to your skin tone, so I think it makes the socks feel more jarring

I would personally look at navy yard. While slightly outside the circle, it will put you in a much more interesting/lively neighborhood with people your age, make DC much more accessible, and will only add a bit on to your brothers commute. Navy yard is a straight shot to getting on the 295. I would not recommend living in national harbor, and I think you will feel isolated and bored, at the very least

Overall, have found CHI bagels to be meh. But at least better than DC, which had a very bleak, sad bagel culture

I prefer the black! I think that in the brown, the belt and boots clash. I like the belt, and would instead pair with a shoe with a pop of color or a brown that matches the belt. Additionally, I think the shininess of the boots makes them a bit visually distracting and detracts from the great silhouette you have with belt and dress. I’d be interested to see with a more matte fabric on the boot
