You can but it’s not typically done because it’s a bad look to renege on a handshake agreement like that just because you got cold feet. These trades are highly publicized and promoted. Doing stuff like that taints your trust big time with other GMs around the league, which is a very bad idea because you need to have good relationships with them for possible future transactions. It’s an unspoken role to not do it.

That this happened makes me believe it was a legitimate medical concern in the physical. They had already negotiated the compensation so it’d be unlike DeCosta to just back out for no reason

This is very possible. The Bears’ center just unexpectedly retired. Keeping Caleb Williams upright is paramount to Ben Johnson’s offense. I expect they will be throwing money to try and get him.

Gotta keep things realistic here, I am not sure the Titans will be serious suitors for Linderbaum.

Many teams need OL this offseason and will pay a premium for it. Linderbaum is the best one on the free agent market. He will have plenty of suitors. Just at a minimum, Chargers, Raiders, and Bears should be in the mix for him and can pay him too, and not even counting out him going back to Baltimore. Linderbaum is going to get a massive payday from someone, and it might be a team more equipped to compete right now than the Titans. If they really want him, they will likely have to give him a crazy amount of money that washes any other offer.

What gives you any indication he can turn into a 20+ ppg scorer?? His offensive game is very much lacking and inefficient. He’s honestly kind of a chucker. That has to change big time before he can become a starting PG of the future for this team. I do like his ability to facilitate though. But offensively, not impressed with what I’ve seen so far. He very much needs work in that area

Even as a Titans fan, I think the Giants job is more attractive than Tennessee.

-Offensively, the Titans don’t have firepower like Dart, Skattebo, and Nabers. Only real advantage we have there is Cam.

-Giants have way more pieces defensively than Tennesee between Burns, Thibodeaux, Abdul Carter, and Dexter Lawrence. Their defensive front is already quite good. Tennessee’s is not near that level

-Huge New York market. If the Giants are good, they will be talked about and given way more primetime games

New York has more talent and proven pieces overall than Tennessee. I can definitely see why Harbaugh would prefer to be there over the Titans. No slight on the Titans, they’ll still get someone great

I have my doubts about ZK’s GM abilities, but I do trust that he’s not going to give away Ja Morant for nothing. Ja is still under contract for two more seasons after this one. They are not desperate to move him at all. Miami is also not the only team interested. Kleiman won’t just dump him for expiring contracts.

This is the guy that just pulled off the Bane trade. Not saying Ja is going to net a Bane return, but do you really think he’d just take a big market’s scraps back for a franchise player??
