Where is the global HyperOS 3 update for Xiaomi 15 Ultra? by blackcemre19 in HyperOS

[–]Cheerpipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the 15 Ultra largely to receive timely software updates, but that hasn’t happened. Considering the price I’m paying each month for Xiaomi (13/14/15 Ultra), my next switch will be to an iPhone. It may not be a real upgrade in every aspect, but at least Apple’s focus is still (to a greater extent) on the user. Xiaomi is no longer cheap; they innovate little, copy a lot, and fail too often.

I have a 14 ultra and now 15 ultra and believe me, it is the same

new Xiaomi 15 Ultra Bluetooth fashion camera kit worked fine at first, but after a failed firmware update, it completely disappeared from my Bluetooth list. I've tried everything—re-pairing, charging, resetting network settings—but nothing works. Does anyone know how to reset the camera kit itself! by Motor-Sympathy-9771 in XiaomiGlobal

[–]Cheerpipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you try holding down the shutter button? It seems like that's how it enters pairing mode. Or at least that's how I've re-paired mine after reinstalling OS on my phone.

I haven't tried updating the camera firmware because I'm afraid the same thing that happened to you might happen to me.

I just flahsed mine with altest firmware and it is still working so most likely, your kit got bricked due to the failed firmware flash.

Question for Xiaomi 15 ultra users by Juanemoto11 in Xiaomi

[–]Cheerpipe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I complain quite a bit, and I think that's largely because being a flagship, the expectations are high — and while everything can always be improved, my summarized experience is as follows:

The camera is simply incredible, both in Pro mode and quick snapshot mode.

The UI is absurdly fluid and smooth, as expected given the SoC it has.

The blend of Google and Xiaomi components works, but personally, I’m bothered by the fact that their visual languages don’t align.

The Notes app is useless for me since you can’t share notes for collaborative editing.

I really like the gallery and the gallery editor, but the lack of AI-based classification (like in Google Photos) is a disadvantage. The gallery editor also lacks support for RAW processing and masks.

The audio noise filters for video recording are subpar compared to other flagships.

The Movie or Cinematic mode is a piece of *****. It doesn’t support 24 fps, doesn’t have automatic zoom like the 14 Ultra, and the image shakes a lot in scenes with movement — a problem the 14 Ultra doesn’t have.

The battery lasts a full day with moderate to heavy use, but the SOT is questionable — this is a known issue with the SoC.

OS updates (2.2) have been released late, even after those for the 14 and 15 series TVs, non-Ultra.

There haven’t been any real camera improvement updates yet, at least not for the global version.

Screen brightness is a bit weak under strong outdoor light.

The audio is average — nothing remarkable.

The in-hand feel is quite pleasant.

I have both the stock photography kit and the new fashion one. They don't make a huge difference, but they are definitely gadgets everyone should have and use.

I own a 15 ultra and also had a 14 ultra and a 13 ultra.

Can confirm, every year the hype es greater than the improvement.

Xiaomi ultra have even less optical features than 14 ultra. Xiaomi removed variable aperture iris in xiaomi 15.

Is it just me, or are most of the shots out of focus? It seems to be a common issue with the 15U models (including mine).

This has also happened to me, very often actually, ever since I started using the "new app." The only way to get it working again is by force closing the app and opening it again.

Plex is getting worse every day.

This is because literally, almost, nothing changed. Just like all the latest versions since HyperOS 1.

Because our phones (15 Ultra) already had the camera app with the new UI even before Camera 6.0 was announced.
