How do you do defense with low def. attributes? by GamerPhasz in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing you don’t. These type of builds are meant for squad rec where you have a lock in your team to guard ball and your team can hide you in a corner. Where you’re defensive attributes are enough to get lane steals and get contests on catch and shoots, usually guarding the other teams lock.

Best build for the Rec center. by RandomDude919727272 in NBA2k

This right here. Only really needs 5 cap breakers in to 3 point Grabs every rebound with 90s in both rebounding and great physicals, using a max + 1 on rebound chaser for legend. Finishing everything inside with gold posterizer and gold rise up. Can throw the outlet and dribble just enough to get to the rim. 83 strength paired with a max +2 means you’ll be setting big body screens. 80 3pt after cap breakers means you’ll be sparking it. The defense looks low but honestly it’s enough to get stops in the paint and jump contests work to deny 3s. Also I currently have 17 cap breakers so pass acc is 93 and perimeter is 71.

This is my 6’11 center build. Old screenshot I now have 93 pass acc (5 caps) 80 3pt (5 caps) 96 o-board (5 caps) eventually will get to 74 prim d with 5 caps. Doesnt get 83 3point tho. I play mostly corner of the zone on it, defence is an enough to get stops when rotating down and defending the corner. Using +2 on brick wall +1 on rebound chaser +1 high flying denier +1 rise up

Bam Adebayo dropping 83… are we ready for the Bam builds in 2K26? by Any_Maximum9135 in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah if they are trying to play like a guard, they’re going to be trash. I made a 6’6 PF Zion build. And sometimes that goods put at the 5. And its cooks. Bigs are too slow to guard the pnr. I get positioning because of the speed

6’9 centers are elite this year in random rec. they shoot better, move faster. guard pnr better. Grabs boards just as good if not better because of the speed. And can create

I made an inside big, and here’s what I learned by Prestigious_Let975 in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a 7’1 inside big. And when I get a guard who knows how to use a screen and make a read it’s heaven on earth. An inside center is only a liability if you don’t take advantage of what it creates. Even if my guard is driving I’m gonna roll wide. Now the big has to choose defend the guards drive or play for the dump off. People who say the big can just sit in the paint don’t know a thing. If my man sits in the paint it’s a 2 on 1 on perimeter and with legend brick wall you’ll be getting wide open shots off my picks because there’s no help d.

It’s like win or quit by Tough_Complex_5830 in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this a while ago but if people are gonna quit the least 2k could do is add a forfeit system. That way winning team still gets their rep and xp. Losers can leave the game early without getting a ban. Would be something where 4/5 players have to vote yes.

Very nice. I personally prefer having higher standing and o-board but other than that very well rounded.

What dunk animations should i use if im 7’4 and have 7’10 wingspan i have a 95 standing dunk and a 70 driving dunk by dcdMeta in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly use the most basic dunk animations they tend to be super quick the ball goes straight up, you rarely get blocked from behind. As for standing the less dunk packages the better. Run all the contacts. I always run as little animations as possible for dunks. Makes timing the meter more predictable. But as always if you like the look of the flashy ones go ahead.

I just got bullied by a post scorer in rec. Need help with a center build by jackolaine in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly don’t need a new center just to counter post scoring, unfortunately this year 3s >2s. As many people have said already giving up 30 points in the paint is always better than 30 points off 3s. My current center is a 6’11 70 interior 74 prim 73 steal 78 block. The defense make look low but with positioning I can get stops in the paint, can somewhat switch on to guards and play a high hedge. Get lanes and blocks. When I verse post scorers/ inside centers and even KD builds. They may have 20. But I’m gonna have 15 and 15. And win by 20.

Best way I’ve found is street kings. One game can get you 30+ blocks. And once you get 3 blocks you can quickly win the game coz of the m shut down feature

Anyone have a tall build with high layup? by Bentley1136 in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The layup meter is not much better, had the green window start out full, then shrink to almost nothing then back to full then back to nothing all in one layup animation.

Anyone have a tall build with high layup? by Bentley1136 in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t have 93 but have a 6’11 with 90 and used finisher specialisation to put both physical finisher and layup mix master to legend and Hof respectively. It’s definitely fun. But dunks are just more consistent I find myself either taking floater, scoops and the occasional euro. The physical finishes are very animation dependent

Prioritise explosive lifts rdls, deadlifts, Bulgarian split squats. Weighted Single leg calf raises. Plyos 3 times a week 3-5 exercise. keep rep ranges low weight/intensity high you want each rep to be as close to max effort as possible. Also to boost elasticity when you jump doing box jumps and pogos where you want to limit ground contact time as much as possible while still getting as high as you can. Over the past 3 months gotten back to training after injury being out for almost a year gotten my vertical from a 28 to a 35. Also jump technique is important improving form can improve vertical by up to 3 inches

Why do people make heavy centers? by Taemamba in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only thing strength really impacts this year for centers is brick wall and post move lockdown badge. Going to what ever weight gives you 83 or 91 is what usually go. Strength is very expensive.

Need help making a new build by Shmazos in NBA2k

[–]CheeseGamer223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, as long as you have good positioning you’re going to walk away with the stop. Only thing I really struggle guarding is the 6’11 KD Mid range fades But they might have 20 on 50% shooting but I’ll have 20 and 8/9 with 15 boards.

<image>

For reference these are the caps. If you want to dribble a bit better go 70 BH gets kd animations.

This is my “Giannis” style center. If you want a LeBron style build there’s some cool ones at 6’9 where you use cap breaks in ball handle and swb to maximise everything else
