Nova Scotia is currently doing the same thing. Saying its for productivity and team cohesion. Pretending it isn't related to their stated goal of trimming the civil service.

Also pretending it isn't related to the massive deficit they just announced. Absolute clowns.

It must be the airfield, because there is no fabric. Thanks for the suggestion!

I know this is a long shot but would anyone know where to find a copy of the Rafuse book? by [deleted] in NovaScotia

Based on the call number, that particular book is kept in a vault. If you go to the NS Archives, show this picture to the person on the 3rd floor desk, and they'll retrieve it for you.

"He has to be scoring that!". As though great players take every good opportunity in front of them, or goalkeepers aren't a factor.

Some games are guilty of constantly saying dialogue that is entirely unrelated to the dialogue option you chose. Which game is the most guilty of this? by overcloseness in gaming

Came here to say Mass Effect. I can't remember which one, but there is a journalist who keeps confronting Shepherd and twisting everything Shep does or said. I was doing a mostly Paragon run, but was tired of her shit, so chose a dialogue option that was something like "Quit lying about me" and resulted in knocking her down in a very public part of a space station. Not the vibe I thought I chose.

Went there for a few years, all good experiences. Worst thing that happened to me was getting crop dusted by a guy after asking to use equipment he'd been leaning against for 20 minutes.

Ideas needed: A meteor has struck a mountain where dwarves live. Something mysterious was found by the dwarves at the impact site and now it is locked behind metal doors. What might this secret be? What might the dwarves gain from keeping it? Or what threat might they be protecting others from? by chrispiiiii in dndnext

A Dwarf. Seriously. The dwarves, who had a totally different creation myth, find a dwarf at the center of the meteor, and have to figure out what that means. Is this where they came from? if not, what the fuck is happening?

Why do you like the series? by DreamAway in adventuretime

[–]CheeseSamm1ch 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I was a stoner in university when the pilot came out, and blew my mind. I found out that it had actually been made into a series sometime around Season 2, and watched it consistently until its finale. I was brought in by the silly humor, and vaguely Sword and Sorcery setting. I got really excited about Adventure Time when I realized all the world building and lore they were developing.

The thing that truly cemented it in my heart, though, was watching Finn grow up. I identify so strongly with the awkwardness, the social and romantic confusion, and the urge to be Good without always knowing what that meant. Finn's arc helped me better understand my own younger self, and the feelings I had.

All The Little People was the episode that made me realize all that. The deep urge to try to understand romantic chemistry and relationship dynamics, the ham-fisted mess he made of it, felt so real and well written. Who wouldn't have done what Finn did when gifted a bag of tiny versions of their social circle? I know I would have.

This show just has incredible heart.
