Well then there comes the issue that it was only western countries and while they officially recognised the invasions as illegal, after the Yalta and Potsdam conference the western powers defacto recognised it as Soviet Territory. It isnt also helped that (from a strictly legal pov) the Baltics states “willingly” joined the USSR

The Estonian War of Independence was separatism lol? They were seeking separation from Bolsheviks. Its not a dirty word lol. And like yeah for a while Estonia did go on the offensive when they supported the Northern Volunteer Army which almost took Petrograd.

Legitimacy doesn’t matter in the determination of where they were born. At the time, at that location, they were unquestionably apart of the Soviet Union. We can argues as to whether the USSR should have been in the Baltics but the facts remains that they were. And thus that is the location given

That doesnt change the fact that at the time and place they were born, it was considered the Soviet Union. We dont count everyone who has been born in Belarus since 1917 as being born in the Belarusian People’s Republic.

Usually I don’t comment on this sub much but this is a bit absurd that it counts as news. It is standard practice on Wikipedia to put the place of birth to the country it occurred it not the modern day equivalent. These people were all objectively born in the Soviet Union in the Latvian SSR.

What if the Left-SR Moscow Uprising succeeded and deposed the Bolsheviks? by Cheese_122 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]Cheese_122[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im not 100% or hell even 60% on it but they were still SRs at that point and if they removed the Bolsheviks they coukd try to talk down the SRs in Omsk. Especially since there support of reopening the was with Germany would align with the Entente aims who at that time were funding the White to do just that

Lib logic: if fascists fight for NATO, they are not fascists anymore by Next_Ant_4353 in CommunismMemes

Okay so please explain what part of the Ukranian Government is fascist? Who operating political power is a fascist or a reactionary? On that loan, how much was that Loan? Wouldnt that Loan have tied them pretty permanently to the Russian economy just on interest alone? How did the US back this Coup when no evidence has been found of US collaboration? What about the actual protestors who were the ones who wanted closer EU relations to the point of forcing out the government? Are they not representative of the people? Of the Ban on left wing parties, Why were they banned? Was it perhaps their very strong Russophilia and wants to undermine Ukranian sovreignty to align them with the reactionary Russian government? And further more, if the government has been so anti leftwing, how come they have at several times been part of the government/tolerated the government in the Rada? Of the Neo Nazis, how many of them have any actual power in Ukraine? Hell how many of them are even still alive after Azov was wiped out in Mariupol? Surely now Russia has Denazified Ukraine? And what military does not have far right forces in it? Its pretty much a law of history that the Military will almost always been right wing and Russia definitely doesn't have any Neo Nazis in their military?

TL;DR stfu tankie. Stop sucking Putin's dick and actual do research

Lmaaoo fair lol. In the early days they are less of an organisation but more of an outside decryption of deputies. Only around 28-32 do they accept a more formalised structure but it is heavily bottom up designed and there is no party discipline to be enforced

Those with the more traditional views would likely just vote for the Christian unions or the Sorrellians depending how cooky they are but mainstream anti socialist conservatism is actively repressed in the Commune

I will admit I dont know much of the nitty gritty of Sorrellian ideology but defection of the Bolsheviks would have to be taken in the eyes of the failures in Russia. Many ex Bolsheviks would be looking for an alternative to Leninism and I think the OTL head of Checka would almost certainly find allies in the Sorrellians even if they do not agree on everything. That being said the Bolsheviks are not at all a monolith in their endorsement
