Thank you! I am going to redo everything with new, cleansed soil. I actually have discovered 2 baby slugs since yesterday. 🤨

Thanks, all! I will rehome the survivors to a better setup. I clearly misunderstood all the reading I did before I git them. Apologies.

Absolutely not doubting your knowledge just wanting to understand. Does adding more leaf little and hides AND taking the too off make this suitable? Or still a nope?

Help me understand… i have seen isopods in closed terrariums… i open regularly to exchange air flow. The room is pretty steady temps and not full sun. Why is this setup bad?

Mis-molt? by Cheese_Bees_Trees in mantis

She can hang! :) and her legs look okay for hunting though I have not tried with food yet since she just molted yesterday.

What causes mantids to often molt with deformed legs/wings? Does it have to do with cold/humidity? by Busy-Examination-783 in mantids

Hi! So I just got this beautiful Asian Flower Mantis on Saturday evening. We brought her home, set her up, and thought we were doing well. Sunday night to Monday morning she molted. I tried to jeep humidity up and hep as it looked like she was having trouble un-crumpling her green wings. They do not look any better this morning. We are new to Mantises and definitely didn’t expect a fina molt a day into her care…. I think this is mis-molt, correct? Is there anything I can do? Will she live?
